If I'm looking for something sweet I'd rather just drink a good cider.
Yeah if you're not a fan of the Belgians than I wouldn't expect you to like this one. But for those who are fans, this one is huge bang for buck.

I've had Pliny a few times now and indefinitely have to try this.

Pliny needs to be consumed almost immediately for freshness.

We will have to head to the brewery! Fun drive with fresh pavement. We should get a group together in the spring. They have a tight disk golf course too.

TSD??? Im down though, there a few in SF (Magnolia, Speak Easy, 21st Amendment, Anchor Steam) and a few in the East Bay too. I've done north bay a lot.

I had Pliny the younger in the last release and didnt like it. It was close to a barely wine I'd say due to its strength and sweetness.

TSD rally. Time Speed Distance. You maintain a specific average speed for a predetermined distance and try to get as close to the perfect time as possible.

Ah I see, sounds like a perfect thing to do with a beer tour or two

WOw, miss all you baic guys. Haven't been on here really since I sold my car. I've definitely become quite the beer advocate since selling it. (maybe i'm just subconsciously depressed about selling it and drinking away the pain lol)

Just recently had the Drakes Hopacalypse. Quite nice with the high IBU but it's very drinkable. Felt like biting into a sweet grapefruit every sip.

I'll be waiting in line somewhere in LA this week to get my taste of PtY

I just went to a "IPA takeover slash Piny the Younger release" at Harrys Hofbrau in Redwood City yesterday and BOY O BOY! The Drakes Hopacalypse was a definite fav and even had the hard to get black label which was even tastier!

I had the Younger last year and tried it again this year, its good no doubt but not good enough for the effort. Waited in line for a long time to get a 4oz sip. If it were readily available it'd be a great beer but it still isnt that great.

Here was the wonderful list:

I have been liking their beers a lot more lately. I would really like to check out the brewery some time. Had a few of their IPAs today actually.

Nice! What kind of all grain setup do you have? I'm looking to get something and get away from extract.

I wanted to start my Double IPA today but had no time.
