After shooting my buddy's custom Colt (had a full scope on it...) years ago, I was sold on the platform. Here's mine. Fun to shoot and it is easily more accurate than I am

glocks and springXDs feel like toys.
THIS is what I'm drooling over right now
Very pricey, but very nice. Dan Wesson commander classic bobtail SST. If I can swing it, I am going to try to pick one up soon.

This is the only issue with some of the nice ones. They are very reliable, but require a bit more maintenance. I'm willing to have that tradeoff

They are both a bit more "utilitarian" but they still get the job done as well. I actually think the XD mags are the best of the three. I like all of them, but if I have to choose, it will be M&P.

I remember reading that the military was adopting a f&p (guessing) pistol.
Thing is milled for a reflex red dot and ported slide with an extended barrel and flash supressor.
Id have to look for it again to remember.
Currently still laying in bed lol.

IMO, the XD looks better. I went in wanting to buy an XD originally, but ended up with the M&P after trying them.

If you mean between the 3 mentioned, they are all striker fired and dual stage trigger. All have mag release safety as well since those are all CA compliance things. The Glock has a shorter pull and reset, but the M&P and XD are smoother IMO. I like the look of all of them

No, newer Glocks like the Gen 4's are supposed to have mag disconnects and loaded chamber indicators and also not fire when dropped from 10 different test angles or some crap. Only way to get a BNIB Gen 4 is to SSE or buy a used one from a LEO or a person that brought it here from out of state. The other way is Father/Mother or Grandparents gifting you a non-rostered pistol from out of state.

LEO from san mateo transfered it to me. Gave me his highcap mag outside fully assembled too!
I love the short reset on the 2stage glock trigger. And the trigger safety doesnt bother me at all. I can fire one as fast as my stag.
Even better rapid firing at los altos with the misquito lol.

Ones that were approved before the law went into effect are grandfathered in. My 1911 (all of them AFAIK) will also fire with the mag removed and one in the chamber and I bought it after the law went into effect.

Gotcha. Yeah, but that is a 100+ year old design
and aside from tweaks and accurization, it hasn't been much improved much in that time.
Best slide serrations and the angle of the grip is very natural. My CT grip is nicer than the ones that it comes with too. Slightly larger than the medium one, but a more comfortable shape.

Purchasers of handguns must provide proof of California residency, such as a utility bill, residential lease, property deed, or government-issued identification (other than a drivers license or other DMV-issued identification), and either (1) possess a Handgun Safety Certificate (HSC) plus successfully complete a safety demonstration with their recently purchased handgun or (2) qualify for an HSC exemption.
Examples of acceptable proof of residency pursuant to newly-proposed regulations:
DMV registrations are NOW acceptable.
Electricity, gas, cable bill from within the last 3 months.
Signed, dated and notarized rental agreement/contract.
