And? How was it?

I got to shoot a S&W .500 with bear slugs in December. That's a .45ACP next to it

It was loud and had a HUGE muzzle flash I mean it was part flame thrower haha. Kick was not too bad, not like it hurt or was uncontrollable.

It was bad ***. If I could afford the rounds I would get one.

Yes. I have a pic I'll upload of the gun...it and my neighbor who owns it, are crazy. Truly a hand cannon

I actually came to this thread to post this WOOHOO! It's a start:

Federal Court Just Dealt a Major Blow to Anti-Gun Advocates in California | TheBlaze.com

n a 2-1 decision, the Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco ruled that by requiring citizens to prove “good cause” — rather than just the right to self-defense — in order to obtain a concealed weapons permit, San Diego County is in direct violation of the U.S. Constitution. If the decision stands, the permit system for the entire state of California would be invalidated, the Washington Post reports.

So you just have to apply for a permit instead of "needing a good reason" for one?

Nope, you would still need a permit. It just means that they have to issue one to you (with the proper background checks, etc.) as long as you are concerned about self-defense. Basically that they can't withhold one to you for no particular reason. That's just my basic interpretation of it, I'm sure more knowledgeable folks will chime in as well.

Basically, it will be harder for them to deny you a CCW, providing you clear the checks. That could also clear the way for the other case I posted previously to win as well - the challenge to the 10 day wait period for registered owners.

Dont doubt it....but u cant put a non hp 62grain 5.56 round up next to the .50 beowulf.

Compare with black hills bthp 77 grain......

On top of that the 5.56 is meant to be accurate and nasty.....the .50 beowulf round is just nasty.
Its like a 45 round compared to a 357 sig round.. They all fall to hardball but sometimes the 45 bounces off stuff it should be punching through.

Amazing energy tho.

It isn't impossible now, just improbable in the bay area I was already in the process of getting mine since my residence is not here. This should just make it easier.
