This is my first build and gun. I have no clue where they are suppose to go. The front grip moved back quite a bit after this pic hahah.

Move your rear sight all the way back to the last slot. It'll make looking through it easier when you bring the gun up to your cheek weld. And move the front sight all the way forward to the first slot.

Current training theory is with LH grip pretty far forward... It gives you more leverage to control muzzle climb

I don't have my AFG2 that far forward, but further forward does give you the most control. I tried it in a variety of spots and ended up with something a little less forward than the second one.

What foregrip is that? Is it a bipod then?

Looks just like a normal angled grip. I know magpul makes one.

I have my tango down stubby quick detatch pretty far forward on my rail.

Went from the 7 inch samson rail to a 13inch spikes BAR rail.
More real estate lol.

I mean which one is on yours? Yours is a VFG. I already have a AFG2 on mine and I love it , but it is also a rimfire which are exempt. I was asking about yours because there are laws governing the use of them on an AR in good ol' CA. Even the AFG is not legal on centerfire.

Assault Weapon "Evil Features"

California Penal Code Section 12276.1

(a) Notwithstanding Section 12276, "assault weapon" shall also mean any of the following:
(1) a semiautomatic, centerfire rifle that has the capacity to accept a detachable magazine and any one of the following:
(a) pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon.
(b) thumbhole stock.
(c) folding or telescoping stock
(d) grenade launcher or flare launcher.
(e) flash suppressor.
(f) forward pistol grip.

I have a fire grip that has a bipod in it. Is that legal?

(1) a semiautomatic, centerfire rifle that has the capacity to accept a detachable magazine and any one of the following:
I also have a stock that slides to make it shorter and longer.
(c) folding or telescoping stock
