I've been there with the wife more times then I want to remember...... just rebuilt my race quad and spent about 1k over what I told her...I kept finding things that needed upgrade...I mean fixing).
There should be no reason for me skipping out tomorrow (well unless something happens with the cats & the vet). Looking forward to riding some real "dirt" trails....this bike class I'm in @ Sac State....everyone worth riding with all ride road bikes....it's tuff staying with them as my MT tires provide so much resistance compared to their 1/2" wide tires. But I guess I'm getting a better workout
Soggy.....cool Epic, now it appears I'm going to have the relic ride of the bunch tomorrow....keep this up and I might be forced to get a new ride also....looking at a Specialized Enduro...but built for the trail not DH, just want the extra plushness. My current A1 comp is more like a rigid...just takes the edge off any bump/hit. My body's getting too old for too much abuse.
See Ya tomorrow

Well that was fun - I filled up my M.U.L.E and laid it on the counter while I went out and pumped up my tires and got my stuff together. Come back in to the kitchen to a small lake on my counter - I put the camelbak down on the damn bite valve

Yeah, dude, today was a sweet ride. So the Epic gets a big:
YES.
Such a fun bike. I can actually climb now and that thing hauls *** in flats and downhill. I do need to do two things though. First I need to remove some air from the fork - it was a little stiff today and second I need to tighten the seat post clamp. Climbing some hills on FDLT just before connector I realized that I was suddenly sitting lower than I was before so I raised the post and kept on going. It was much lower when we got back to the car :\. I also may add bar ends in the future - not sure yet.
Pics:
I finally got a decent pic from the look-out:

Egan in the pretty grass..

Top of the nasty climb on FDLT:

And the hotness:

So we're surrreeee no one wants to ride tomorrow?

I can't ride tomorrow. I need to help Ryan with his hitting and fielding.
And maybe I'll wash the truck for the first time since October.

That was deffinately fun!!! I am sore everywhere
I don't care what I have to do I am getting that 04 Enduro. The reviews on that bike are ALL really good and it suppose to only weigh about 30 lbs (which isnt much more then my A1 comp) It would be nicer to have a little more travel on some of those rocky areas and technical down hill parts (the few there were today)......geesh....it seemed there were more up hill segments then down hill & no flat parts.......at the end all I was thinking was "will these up hills ever end".
I'm going to deffinately get a 100cc camelback this week (a good one). With summer coming on I'll die without one.
Thanks all......the trails were great and the company was greater.
I will see you next weekend (can't ride tomorrow....got too much homework and study to do for next week.)
Cheers
