x2Looks like I can't ride Sat........just found out plans were made for me. But I can ride Sunday. So Matt what's the official plan?
Today I finally got a Camelback M.U.L.E. so no more running out of water (I hope)....REI had a couple 06 units on sale for $59.93 from $80...I was planning on getting the LOBO but went with the MULE because of price and versitility Also got some new tires (Michelin All Mountain Expert 26x2.20 for $29.93 for the set) and 2 sets of tubes.
My tube stem broke from last saturday's ride.....when I went to fill it up this morning for my Bike Class's ride, the whole step pulled right out!!! I was lucky it didn't let go on the trail and held all the way through. I had a spare tube, replaced it and as I was filling the tire with air.....the tube formed a bubble and a fellow class rider decided to help and tried to push it back under the tire.....just as I got the word "Don't".......KABOOM!!! (basically the rest of the sentence of "dont touch it", never got finished), a sound very similar to that of a shot gun going off the walls of the classroom & into the hallway. The echo's must of went on for a good 3 seconds......and basically my ride today was done.
Also....I didn't get that 04 Enduro.....the price went over my spending limit...sold for $911.00, I was only willing to pay 800 for it. Went to Sharp Bicycles today and they were trying to sell me a Stumpjumper......but I am still looking at an Enduro SL or Comp. I think I am going to convert my current ground control to a Full On tarmac trainer (as it's more a rigid than a Full suspension bike)....put some slicks on it, when I get a real mountain bike later this year. What do you guys think?
Let me know what the plan for Sunday's ride......
