Sounds like a tall order for the Auburn/Foresthill 'type' riding we've been doing (for me anyway). I know people do it all the time but not sure if I'm ready for 25 up there. Maybe if it was something like Salmon Falls where it's not as strenuous I might be up for it. There are some variations at Salmon Falls where I think you get 25 out of it. 18 with the out and back + the Falcon Crest & Sweetwater Trail options.

We started at Falcon Crest and rode all the way through Sweetwater, out Salmon Falls to Mickey Mouse and back. About 25-27 miles of up and down fun.
I just know that after 18 on our normal loop I'm pretty warn out, but maybe if I can sike myself out, knowing I have all that sweet DH to look forward to...then maybe I could push it a bit more. Maybe I'll have to ride the HT if we're getting all xc and going for like 30 miles. Either that or I'll have to put the big ring and longer stem back on the Nomad and run some lighter/not as bomb-proof tires on it to get the weight down a little for the longer distance.

The only thing I dislike about Salmon Falls right now is all the Poison Oak. I don't feel like spending another hour using tecnu all over the place . I really liked Salmon Falls but yeah the constant fear of PO, ugh :\.

I just talked with Josey and it looks like Saturday works best for us this week. I'm still getting used to this new schedule of hers. On one hand I liked when she worked Saturday nights because it made it easy for me to ride both days, but on the other hand, I sort of like seeing her. It's going to be weird getting used to having someone else home at the same time as me, and like..having a wife. I'll try not to get too in to it though, if history serves to predict the future, we only have another few months of this max.

Anyway, I know Saturday puts you out, Mike. Is that ok? Lance, can you ride Saturday? Either day we ride I still want to do 8am or so, if that's cool. Gets me home early enough to still have almost the whole day. And, Lance, if you want, we can do the normal 18 mile loop and then if I'm feeling up to it I'll ride the rest. The only cool thing though with starting at the confluence is once you get to the lot at the end of connector, you chill for a minute and then it's all downhill

Yuba again

If we want to ride Yuba sometime, I suggest we do it differntly than what the book showed and what I rode. Instead of doing it as a loop, I think it would be better to do it as an out and back starting at the S.Yuba trail head. It would eliminate the several miles of dirt road but still give us a good adventure. That way we could also ride the miles we want to ride instead of being commited to riding the whole loop.

Did you get any PO on Saturday???

I'll have to check for this Saturday. I was thinking Sunday worked best for some reason...maybe the wife is working on Saturday or something...

How about this Matt...we can start at Confluence, hit The Connector and start the FDLT. If I feel like I'm gonna puss out then I can bail at like Drivers Flat or somewhere along the way and just double-back to Foresthill Road and catch the downhill at the gaurd rail and hit Confluence back to the car. BAM!!!!

looks like it's setup as a dirtjump bike.
take it to the park and do some tail-whips and backflipz y0!

i think i'm gonna pick up this Forte Singlespeed Conversion kit for my old hardtail frame.

they have it for sale in their catalog for $17.99!

put some street style slicks and gear it for the AR bike trail behind the office.
lunchtime rides will rock!

Somehow I only ended up with a small patch on my forearm and a spot on my neck. Although sometimes it takes a week for it to pop up.

i don't think i get it...i jumped into a patch of it for cover while playing paintball years ago and didn't get any then and have not gotten it any other time either.

i guess it doesn't affect me, but i can't come home with it on my clothes cus my wife can be 30 ft. away from it and start itching. she's super allergic to it.
