Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

awesome, well i ordered it last night so hopefully ill have it by next week. hopefully all goes well. also, does anybody have the espiler exhaust or the rallitek racing headers? if so what difference has it made for you. is there notable performance or is it just for sound?

Well, I'm in the process of getting some HID's , STI sideskirts, a Cosmos Short Ram Intake, and a Throttle Body Spacer.

My concern here is regarding the SRI and the TSB.
You guys think this will decrease my low-end torque and give me more high end?

From what I've heard and read, there are mixed reviews.
SRI and TSB may give me POOR gas mileage, LOSS of low-end torque, and MAY give me a CEL.

Can anyone support or disagree on these opinions?
Thanks a bunch~

cause its not worth it...the 2.5 frankenmotors people have done can't push more then 250hp...and that is after thousands of dollars...these cars may be N/A but they are no N/A beasts...for the amount you drop to get that kind of hp...a wrx or sti could be pushing over 400hp...it sucks but it is the truth...

those mods do exist but would you want to be the first to try them? the 2.5rs is now just starting to pop up with proven power...no one is going to start on a brand new engine that most people prolly haven't even voided the warranty on...

and please remember the rule of thumb...100hp per L the engine has...do the math...you might be able to get more then that but you'll be running nitrous or meth and at that point it is NOT N/A...

that's the thing...no one wants to blow a motor trying...**** right now tuning the '07's is already proving to be a problem because of the 32bit ECU being to ****ing smart...give it time man and there will be more, esp since the '08 2.5i is still using iavls...i wont be surprised if someone finally has cams...once cams come out the other parts will start working the way you want...right now throwing pistons on and stroking the engine wont do much if you don't have the air flow...so i guess the one problem you face is getting a complete setup, if you want cams that bad...have them custom made...

How's the Injen intake and exhaust combination?
Does it kill the MPG?
Cause i'm really considering getting an intake either SRI or CAI, along with a throttle body spacer, but I'm not confident about whether or not, it'll destroy my MPG along with the low end torque. Also, is you're suby running rich with those bolt ons (intake + exhaust)?

Thanks~

alright so i got my injen intake in and right now ive got it set up as the short ram and not the cold air...it was being a pain in the a** and i didnt have time to fix it so its just the short ram but the torque is definetly higher and it sounds great...quick question to those who have the injen CAI tho...did u guys drive it as a short ram and a cold air? if so which was faster? did u lose sound when u converted the short ram to cold air? im tryin to debate wether i wanna convert it to cold air or just leave it short ram. whoever tried both please give me yur thoughts cause if CA's not better than its not worth the pain of goin inside my wheelwell again. please get back as soon as possible on this one

go cold air, same sound, smoother and more responsive power. the only thing that should be stopping you from going cold air is if it rains a lot in your area.
thats my 2cents.
