no one has cams for 2.5i, even delta since the 06+ has the i-activevalve lift thing.......if the 08 doesn't have the i-active thingy.....i bet we ll be left out....

 

the '08 engine doesn't have much different...and it should still have the i-AVLS

 

injen intake installed, but didn't have the resources to install the full cai. does anyone think i actually have to take the bumper off? or can I just jack it up, take off the right wheel and pull the liner back like you do to remove the snorkus

also any suggestions on how to regain some low end power that i've lost after the install?

 

ive had the pleasure of hearing an espilir exhaust on a n/a from rallitek and i want it bad. so low and beefy, yet quick and classy
aren't they 2.25" pipes?

 

i put it on without taking the bumper iff. its tricky nut do able. i just pulled the plastic und the car down and the plastic in the fender out a little.

 

once you seal your filter in a box so the main air flow is from the ram then a little more low end tq is sustained compared to just simply a weapon r intake. i will get pics up asap. you attach the end to the filter then stuff it through the circular hole on the side of your engine bay so the air is being sucked from the bumper bar.

 

does anyone know if there are plans for a cobb accessport on the 2.5i? if so, when? just reading the specs and they seem fantastic

 

they are...and last i asked cobb they said "by summer time" but they said it was supposed to launch with the WRX/STi version...and it didn't, so i wouldn't hold my breath...and the PP6 is a little bit more work then i want to do

 

I would rather count on euginity than cobb.....plus euginity is FREE

 

you mean enginuity? well gl with that. they don't have a definition for our cars yet and i don't think they will any time soon. the WRX/STI ecu's are NOT the same as the 2.5i's...all they have right now is on that allows the tactrix to read from the port...there is no way to flash right now...so as it stands both cobb and enginuity are in the same boat imo

 

anyone know of a relaible way to get rid of the whining noise im emperiencing now from the intake? i know its common but i was wondering if anyone had a link or some tricks

 

Hello, I am Clinton, and I have a 2007 2.5i Special Edition. Here is my thread and pics on NJIC I have my future mod list on that first page, and vids on page 4. I love it stock and the engine is real loud at high end, and yeah, I agree of sounding like a Honda. this is the first car I drove that the air intake is seemingly the loudest part of the car in stock form [I hear it suck in air when I have to hit the hammer sometimes].

I am also wondering, but does anyone else have something in the engine bay on the passenger wheel well [under the strut tower] that is a silver rectangle with a white plastic cover that says "caution: this may be hot"? if so, what is it? I will take a picture in a couple minutes and post it also.
