Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

could somebody post a pic or a description of how ther fabricated an 05 injen CAI to an 06/07 2.5i? i saw the pic of the weapon r but its not quite the same fab. How do you properly remove the AIF asensor ? cause it doesn't seem to want to easily be removed. also, which vaccuum tube do any of you suggest I "T" into ? the one on the passenger side or the driver's side?

welcome to the site great to see another suby owner from rockville. as for the intake. It should be straight forward you will just need to "T" split the AIF sensor air hose with one of the two vaccuum hose, either the passenger side or driver side dose not matter. I recently did a install of a weapon R intake on my buddys 06 2.5i just need to drill a hole for the AIF sensor and split the vaccuum hose.

and pm for any other help.

alright so i think i wanna start puttin stuff in the 2.5 now. im wonderin if the eslpilir exhaust is a good choice. its one of the only ones for our cars. everybodies puttin sti axlebacks and stuff on but im not looking to lose performance sooo ill pass on that. ppl dont realize that there losin back pressure that they need since theres no turbo. how big is the piping on the espilir and whats the size of our stock pipe? also, same question about the headers on rallitek. and if i do those headers will i be running illegally? lastly, has anybody done the pp6 or a reflash or anything to there ecu? if so what results have u had?

shoot.. i know i know. Cams, High CR pistons,.. huge throttle bodies are great. Ima go for the gas saving stuff.. tbs, intake, pulley..

If I'm gonna install the cams then might as well change the rods, pistons, springs, n' whatever else since its already opened up. Don't wanna reopen the engine that much.. besides, dont we need a ecu reflash to make the engine work properly.

they don't make cams for the 2.5i and it doesn't look like anyone is working on them...pistons you can just use any piston that fits...there is no model specific. to keep it NA you need to run 10:1 or more cr. if you are gonna go all out you can replace all the internals of the engine that way later on if you plan on doing any other work that part is already taken care of...running to high a CR will cause a problem (i think 12:1 is the highest you can go on pump gas...i think 12.3:1 was the highest i've seen on 93oct but it was a stand alone ecu system...)

strongly recommend the ram conversion on the secret weapon. makes power delivery more smooth, and definately harder in the top end thanks to all the air coming from the front guard and not the engine bay.

nah, for internals,.. that will be waayy in the future.. thats too much $$$. , for the cams.. thinking of just delta reground.

Hey nocigar, for the ram conversion on the SW,.. cuz i'm getting one.. will it sustain the low-end tq? i think the weapon r site is giving away the ram air kit free w/ an intake purchase still.. got any pics?
