Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

yup, I love driving around my area with only my parking lights on. I scred my mom because she didn't know what pulled into the parking space next to her car since all she seen was 2 little arcs of light.

and J-Chow, you are tempting me to debadge my car and only leave the emblem

very nice pics j-chow. i do recommend debadging the car to all the others out there too.

can i get your thoughts on this muffler? its got a butterfly valve inside.

http://xforce.com.au.tmp.anchor.net.au/cars/view_car/29

any thoughts as to if this could possibly screw up your ecu with all the fuel/air mixtures changing?

thanks.

im pretty sure the aluminum hood on there now is going to be the lightest you can get...i think even CF would be heavier haha

btw i have a few mods done to my car so i guess i should post up some pics...so far an Injen CAI (SRI right now), Stromung XA CBE, Kartboy STS, and now Megan coilovers (was easier to do then the koni insert with GC tops which would have been coilovers anyway)

http://picasaweb.google.com/zavier/CAR (that's the image gallery...there so like 49 pics)

okay i really really need your help here.. anyone. I'm really into buying that weapon r intake. I need to see some pics, especially with the ram-air kit.

Reason.. I got a spare $500 sitting in my bank and i just want to see the complete fitment. Top view,.. how close it is to the hole.. to the ac lines, cuz i'm also waiting for the DBW-TBS to come in and the last thing i want is the thing not fitting.

I've been seeing some really tight fitments with the WR intake in some ppl's cars and it looks like the ram-air kit can't fit in that tight space....

i haven't turned it into a CAI yet cause this is out rainy season here and i'd rather wait a bit before putting it on (cause i know once i do i'll be to lazy to turn it back to a SRI) so i'll let you know when i do...

as for mpg...actually yes. but i can't tell you how much more. cause when i put the exhaust and intake on i was getting 18-19mpg cause the highways here are stop and go, they are even worse then city driving cause you stop every like 3ft and after i put them on i then switched to a different route to work and i now get 24-26mpg...

Ok so basically I am very dissapointed with the 2.5i owners. They shouldn't call this the 06 rs mod thread; instead it should be formally referred to as the 06 rs intake/exhaust/rims thread. I'm sorry to say that my suby is going into storage until someone actually makes some BIG mods like high compression pistons, cams, and new valvetrain. At most an intake gives you five horsepower at the wheels. What is the point? You can get that much by taking off your air conditioning belt. Seriously...

well, technically, this thread is all of everything of 2.5i related issues.
So i'm assuming anything is fair game in this thread, and the other threads should be disregarded if that's the case.

um they do make high CR pistons for our cars...the valvetrain can be upgraded...the only thing they don't make are cams...but you could have someone custom make them..

and you will never make BIG power in these cars...i think the highest was 260whp...and that was after thousands of dollars...they aren't worth it. o and guess what? those builds also had intakes/exhausts/and wheels put on...

so please stop posting

P.S - there are other things besides what you listed that help make power...P&P? forged internals to allow a higher rev. EM...

just installed this myself
i just got a metal T used for piping from an autoparts store, about 2 ft of 1/2in.
radiator hose and some clamps to make a tight seal on them
you can T any of the hoses together that you wish, it really doesnt matter as long as all 3 on the intake are connected
also, the PCV sensor is connected to the black box that connects to the throttle body. one of the 3 vaccuum hoses is there. this looks like it runs a tube into the black box with a vaccuum hose connected under it but it doesnt actually go into the black box. just use a screwdriver and push in the little tab and remove it from the black box. its easier if you remove the PCV sensor. this sensor is connected about 2 in. from the throttle body on the passenger side. you can pull the fender lining back after removing the right tire to install the full CAI
if i can find a camera i'll post pics
