Here's what I'm drinking

Ok, not exactly, I'm drinking the first batch which isn't as good as the one I'm giving as gifts.

Brewed down by the 280/85 junction by some jackass

Nice, that's what this is - the recipe I posted a while ago. All Cascade (7oz) hops and nice grains. I have had the best luck letting these age about a month or two in the bottle.

Just had to scroll back down to see the recipe. What were your gravities on that? Looks like the OG was ~1.056?

Here is my "Cascade Dr." recipe. I drive down Cascade Dr. every day coming home/going to work, so I had to make a beer with that name

3 lbs 8.0 oz More Beer Ultralight LME [Boil for 15 min]
3 lbs 8 oz More Beer Ultralight LME
7.7 oz Caramel/Crystal Malt - 60L
5.0 oz Munich Malt - 10L
5.0 oz Vienna Malt
4.0 oz Barley, Flaked
28.00 gm Cascade [7.50 %] (60 min)
28.00 gm Cascade [7.50 %] (20 min)
28.00 gm Cascade [7.50 %] (0 min)
OG was 1.052 and I pitched the 3rd generation of the Pacman yeast. The 4th and final generation will go into an Imperial IPA. I haven't decided on the hops yet for that one though.

The stout is ready, the Festivus Ale is probably done carbonating by now, but could use some more time to age. It'll be ready to drink on Festivus (December 23rd) but will benefit from aging a little bit longer.

Yep - OG was 1.056 and FG was 1.012 when I decided to bottle it. Been in the bottle for 3 weeks, the first week was stored at ~68 degrees and it's been around 55 ever since. I will call it "ready" around Christmas but the one I had last night was damn good.

Funny about Cascade, that's my old hood. I lived at Alberta and Yukon for about 5 years and used to drive down Hollenbeck to work every day, sometimes via Cascade.

Did some early Christmas shopping today. Stone Double Bastard, Stone VE 09.09.09, an two Pliny the Elders (they were on sale).

So is anyone here going to go to Devil's Canyon on Friday the 18th? I'm working 3:00-9:00, but will probably get out before 9:00.

I'm going to give it my best. I usually walk over so hopefully it won't be raining.

I'm having the Stone 09.09.09 tonight after having the Double Bastard with dinner (had to take that slowly!) I think I'm just not a fan of belgian yeast.

I actually just switched my shift to end at 4:00 on Friday, so I'll definitely be able to make it as long as people I know will be there.
