The Official Bay Area Beer Thread
Someone was just passing out Black & Tans here, the real deal, poured over a spoon and everything. I usually don't drink at work, but had to get in on that. That was around 4pm so I figure I am probably okay to drive now (was a small clear cup). We have corned beef cooking at home, and a 1 mile walk to HMB Brewing Co once it's time for beer. They have a cask pale on tap that is SOFA KING NOMMY!

Yeah, you said you'd buy me an all grain brewing system as long as I give you one pint from each batch, with a maximum limit of 2 pints per year.
And you said you were free from work to head up to HMB Brewing on April 2nd.

I remember the first part, but the second part is a bit fuzzy
In my infinite drunken wisdom, isn't that Easter weekend? If it is, I'm out, we're going to Jamie's parents lake house

So, for a photo assignment I'm drinking the Stone Levitation ale, and I had Mirror Pond right before it. For those that are unfortunately unaware, Levitation ale is Stone's kind of session pale ale (4.4% ABV). The bitterness is on par with a good session pale, but the hop aroma and flavor are WAY overdone. I don't mind feeling like I'm chewing on hops when I'm drinking a physically thick IIPA, but this is a nice thin and crisp bodied beer with that same flavor. Way out of balance and I'm not digging it compared to the Mirror Pond. Yeah, thats what I said, I prefer Mirror Pond to a Stone brew.

The Lagunitas Wilco Tango Foxtrot Ale is amaaaaaazing. Yes, it should be "Whisky Tango Foxtrot," but I'm guessing there are laws against putting the word Whisky on the front of a non-Whisky bottle.
