All I remember Jacob mentioning is Rock Bottom, so I'll let him comment on what else is around there.

wouldn't that be OGIS, "Oh God, it's Saturday"?
And actually, I'm going to a friend's 21st birthday tonight. As long as she doesn't make us go somewhere with $8 beers I'll probably look like that cat tomorrow morning

I almost said it with a straight face! Good luck in your mission tonight my friend.

Swedes and alcohol, she's great till "a certain point" and then she's suddenly picking fights with lamp posts or beating the bejeezus out of a misbehaving towel dispenser. Sometimes it's funny but sometimes it's "just let the bum keep his brown bag for facks sake" embarrassing.
This time I was kept sober by a shocking selection of Corona or Heiny-kins.

Just picked up the Red Oval Classic Lager from Trader Joe's
For $3 per canned 6-pack I'm assuming it'll be similar to any other cheap lager, but figured it was worth a shot.

It's actually not bad, and the "Simpler Times" lager and pilsener are even better for the same price. They don't always have them though... Our official camping beer.

I'm not too crazy about it (may be because I can't taste a whole lot right now), but I'll give the other lager (bohemian, pilsner, and Simpler Times) a shot. By the way, I was at a home brew shop down in SoCal (don't judge me) and the had mucho Sculpin IPA! I had no way to get it home.
Cool - glad you liked them! That's the same exact recipe as the one I gave you before, just brewed using the method known as "the right way" this time.
Well I like Simpler because it's cheap, and it's Actual Beer made by a craft brewery (Minhas somewhere in the midwest IIRC). Not sure who makes the red oval stuff and I have to admit I did not like the Bohemian too much.
