well, you didn't say it was god, directly, however, it just seems that you're making it out to be the absolute best car there is out there without considering any other (which there are available). i'm not trying to be a trouble maker or nothing, i'm just pointing out what kostamojen is referring to. after reading the latest sport compact car magazine, i think the US STi is in a way a bit watered down as compared to those of europe and japan. the block is only a bored out 2.5 rs block equipped with forged pistons, sodium filled valves, and a semi-closed block, however it only has a 7000k redline whereas the JDM version has an 8000k redline. i think it would be cheaper to equip the WRX with a stroker kit and a hardened gearset such as the STi V6 gearset you can buy from rallispec. i've heard someone has done this and proves to work very good for them. i think i'm still going to to a 2003 JDM STi RA full engine/tranny swap w/front and rear brembo calipers and discs. this would work good for me i think.
