Amazing. Basic research funding has been cut to the point that only 4-6% of grants are funded (down from ~40% a few years ago) but we can send shrinkwrapped cash to Iraq.

Well they aren't taxpayer dollars, so...
If a bunch of brothers in "chocolate city" can drop $300Million of poorly managed FEMA dollars on new rims, stripper money and nice suits, then I hope Soldiers are making out like bandits with inside operations somehow. Assuming we're getting the whole story. God knows they'll be getting **** on more by our gov't soon enough.
