Analyzing that exchange, it sounds like SCS management is trying to shift the blame saying it wasn't their fault but a dealership wide problem. If you are trying to repair the damage done to your dealer's reputation, that is NOT a good way to start.
With swirl marks and burns, there is no way a simple pressure wash could have done that much damage to the car.

^^^^^good. if they or potential customers don't know how would things get better.
but in all honesty, it will not and they don't care enough to change. if you look here and nasioc there has been numberous threads about them and it's the same old story.

Omg!!!
Oh this is good... ha so much love for these guys!!
Stevens creek got my business since I was local, but after the sale I am never going back. My service is done in RWC or SC now.
Lets just say when the sales manager personally insults me, I do not forgive this ever!! He is lucky I am a law abiding citizen.
I understand how the car market works. I understand all the tricks, and markups and playing with pricing and percentage rates.
I don't expect any other dealer not to do the same, but....
When the sales manager verbaly assaults me then you will never get my business again. It is uncalled for...
Believe me I think Brucelee hit the naiil on the head. Your organization needs a major overhaul. Anyone who has done there home work will never pay over invoice for a car. I only paid more than that out the dorr because I got a 6 year warentee, which the finance guy also tried to cahange the terms on the contract.

I opted to pay the San Mateo bridge toll then loop around 101 to Redwood City than to simply drive down 880 to go to Steven's Creek last year when my tranny was making weird noises. I'm not a guy with a lot of money, so I don't like taking chances with my car. With that said, all the negative press keeps people like me away from ever stepping into Steven's Creek Subaru. :P

problem is that most dont have a computer with them as they shop for cars...
lol...
they buy it, go home then look at this thread and they get buyer's remorse... or worse.
seriously though, my one and only encounter with stevens creek was about 4 years ago, initially looking at an wrx.
i got to test drive both auto and manual versions.
i was very surprised at home the salesman allowed me to drive the car as much as i could. granted it was like a 2 mile loop.
but afterwards, it was went i got inside that i started to feel uneasy.
let's just say i never wanted to go back there again. i eventually got my wrx from albany a month later. it was so laid back experience compared...

hmmm no comment to mine? Figures... Further justification on my stance of disallowing anyone I know to even visit the Steven's Creek Subby.
Oh and chalk up #7. I just found out one of my cohorts at work was getting ready to buy I legacy GT from SC, he'll now be going to Carlsen this evening. A short drive is a small price to pay for honesty, a good deal, and your sanity.

it sucks because they probably just think of us as a select group of customers who arent happy with them in particular, and that what they are doing is fine, and we are the ones who are crazy and 'spoiled' so to speak. i used to think this way when i sold bikes and a grumpy customer comes in, so i have some respect for sales and service employees.
it sucks even more for them because they dont know that 100% of customers dont like dishonesty and haggling. NO ONE. who would??? besides, they wont change anyway, becuase they still get majority of the n00b auto shoppers in the south bay interested in subaru's.

i was in the area and stopped by to look at a sti. the saleman wouldnt leave me alone... and also when i asked him about the sti he said it could be converted to FWD along with being AWD. educate your sales reps. while i was there i asked about my passenger window because its messed up and the service rep. said its because i have window tint. the rubber part near the sideview mirror started to rip. i thought it was rude to just straight out come out and say i was a liar and that i ripped it myself.

Not necessarily true.
In some cultures, if you are unable to haggle for something you are considered somewhat inferior. I am not in any of those groups, but i understand that some people DO like to haggle.. and some peopl ewill haggle over ANYTHING AT ALL.
