Stevens Creek Subaru Asks You Bay Area What Went Wrong?
Heh, I think the main reason people hate Steven Creek Subaru is that they are down right shady.
When they price things, they add in shi3t w/o you knowing, and dealing with them always makes you feel like your getting ripped off.
All I can see that 'brian' has addressed, is that he will make customers get more attention on the lot, from their sometimes lazy salespeople. But the main point that I see is that SCS has unethical business ethics. Be up front to people about thier purchase, instead of trying to soak up every dollar from them. The whole atmosphere at steven creek subaru, after reading peoples testimony's, is that you have to watch your back and know your numbers, or theyll EFF you over. No wonder SCS is doing so poorly that they have to come on board and try to kiss as in order to try to make sales. And as addressed earlier, 'brian' even said, "were a business and we gotta make our money" or something along those lines. More or less condoning thier fishy business ethics. Nobodies saying you don't have to make your money, but you also don't have to be shady in your transactions either. If your going try to add in lil fees here and there that people may not want, than at least make it clear to them and inform them-- that is taking care of YOUR customers.
Good luck SCS, and like people have said, you can't change your image overnight by trying to be buddy buddy with i-club members. It'll take a great deal of time by you guys showing it through your actions... if you do this right then eventually word of mouth will spread and that is the only real way that you can reverse your negative reputation. There's no short cuts.

I thought that it was commonly understood that the damage done is irreparable?
So, then the function of this thread is to vent, and expose shaddy dealings and... hate on SC.
They deserve it. Also too, this is not their first or probably even 2nd attempt at a thread like this in the last several years. Did they accomplish anything? Did they change? No.

Me and my family had really bad experience with Stevens Creek Subaru, VW and Mitsubishi. I think they have the same owner. :/
Well, it's good that they treated me like that, or I will be driving a ghey VW Beetle now. haha

I know that there are quite a few of us here who will be willing to go through such an exercise with your company because we have a lot to gain from setting Stevens Creek straight. We have wanted a local dealership that we can befriend for a long time, but never had the opportunity with Stevens Creek. We can start here and now.
Sorry guys I have been sick for the past 3 or so days and haven't been online, and regretfully won't be online for too much longer today. I have read through almost all of the messages up to this point and will comment on most of them soon, but this message right here believe it or not was my intent to begin with. The whole purpose of this thread was not because I'm a glutton for punishment, but to see what we as a dealership could do to help you. I've talked to Subaru on many occasions about getting together with a group of unhappy customers who were willing to work with us. I figured it was best for me to just take actions into my own hands rather than wait for someone else to initiate contact (which wasn't going to happen). I'm all for this. My plan was to introduce myself in this thread and eventually gather a group of people where we could get together at the dealership and discuss whatevers on your minds. We'll provide the location and food, or if you want to meet on neutral turf
I'm all for that as it gives me an opportunity to get out of the dealership.

If that does not happen, I am more than up for spending a few hours on a Saturday in a picketing line at their store front to alert unsuspecting customers of what they are in for if they step foot in there. I have talked to Mercury News before on doing an article on the unscrupulous business tactics that Stevens Creek uses, but they were unwilling because Stevens Creek advertises with them. I have spoken to local news channels but they didn't want to do a news feature unless a major incident happens there. I am completely open to any ideas that will either make them run better or that will stop them from running their business as usual.
Actually the reason why I'm on here is because we actually do care about our reputation. We are consistently in the top ten in national sales and up until recently we were number one in California for almost 4 years, but thats not why I'm here. I'm here to help out those that I can who have had bad experiences here. I chose I-club because its the only way I know of speaking to the Bay Area.

I dealt with "the big buffed guy with the corvette too", and it seemed as though the whole time we were on a ride, he seemed to not care about what I was thinking, hell, I had to ask him what HE drove. I dunno, I always give people a chance from what others always say, but to my disappointment, the comments about stevens creek I received before going there to test drive the blaze bugeye you guys had were completely correct. Hope you guys can get back on your feet, but if you plan to do so, you've got a **** load of work to do.
I think SCS prospered with all those top 10's because back then the impreza's were more rare, and people just wanted to get em. SCS single mindedness of getting the customer to sign the contract worked as there was always a steady flow of new customers, they didn't need repeat buyers at that time.
Nowadays the bay seems saturated with rexes, and a lot of money is made with older model wrx owners trading in/upgrading to an STi model, or simply a newer model. (For Example: last time I went to SCS to pick up some coolant, they kept trying to pressuring me with pitch lines like, "hey isn't it time to move onto the sti", etc.) Anyways, this is bad news for SCS seeing how these potential buyers have already heard of SCS bad business ethnic/experienced it themselves, and skip them to trade thier cars in at other more reputable dealers.

Eventually, we stormed out of the office, and Jake slammed the door a little hard. I'm not kidding when I say a little. It was a slam, but barely.
Bubba ****ing freaked. He shouted "HEY! YOU DO NOT DESTROY MY PROPERTY!" and lept out from behind the counter. He followed us onto the showroom floor and got immediately into Jake's face, inches from him, screaming. He threatened to call the police, to which Jake responded "Do it, so I can report my friend's car stolen".
Rus and I intervened at this point, saying reassuring things like "Hey hey hey, none of this now, we don't want any trouble, we all just want to get out of here." To everyone's credit, things did calm down for a bit. Jake firmly but persistently said "Find those keys" while we stepped outside.
The calm lasted about five seconds, until Bubba almost literally pushed us out the door and again said "You do NOT tell me what to do!".
I think the final straw was Jake screaming "WE'RE WAITING ON YOU, SIR!" just as we'd gotten outside the dealership, into the cool night air.
Bubba decided at that moment to start taking off his jaket, and threw open the door, lunging toward Jake. The rest of the sales staff bodily grabbed Bubba and dragged him back inside, out of sight. He was literally ready to attack Jake and start a fist fight.

In the end we were the biggest losers of this whole ordeal, because one we lost a sale. Two, we now have to deal with the embarrasment of this ordeal here online. Lastly the "little slam" resulted in a broken door that has yet to be fixed...(it wasn't a little slam).
Obviously there are two sides to every disagreement, but in the end we were way out of line for getting upset at your friends. Period. No matter how rude Jake was, or how badly the door was damaged.
