I sure hope you're joking. If you're going 65 in the SLOW lane (on a freeway with at least 2 lanes), then you should not be ticketed. I could care less what the speed everyone else is going as long as I know I'm to the right of everyone going faster than I am going. If I'm holding you up, and there's plenty of lanes to the left of me, it's your job to get around, not mine to speed up.

IIRC, the biggest cause of crashes is not speed, but rather the differential of speed between cars involved in the crash.
I wish more would do that.

On the road I have to drive EVERYDAY... Highway 129... people are CONSTANTLY driving well under the speedlimit. I'm talking 30mph and sometimes slower. As it's an unmarked california state highway the speedlimit is 55mph. I can't count the number of times I've nearly nailed someone coming around a corner because they were going to slow or decided they needed to pull out in front of me. SO many deaths and major injuries on the road. And instead of focusing on much of the issue... trucks and field workers driving 30mph and regular folks going 60mph they decided it was all the speeders fault. So they added crazy bumps all down the center of the road and got rid of ALL of the passing areas. Basically increased the amount of people that get pissed off because their trapped and make illegal and stupid passes and people loosing control right in front of my drive way. It's a turn and many people drift a little in their work trucks and the back ends come out because of the stupid *** bumps... it's happened to me.

Pisses me off and the CHP don't care about the slow people at all. My wife was following someone doing 30mph last night. Their was a chp right behind the person. Instead of stopping them they flipped a ***** and FLEW the other direction. I know this because they passed me going the other direction.

Not to mention they passed my wife once so they could pull me over once. haaa. same chp has screwed with me 3 times. grrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Seriously.... do people not realize that someone going 20mph under the speed limit is FAR more dangerous than someone going 8mph over it.

CRAZY NIGHT. too bad we couldn't keep the caravan together.. i'm sure we could have caught this guy..

fyi: this guy was not drunk he just has a SEVERE case of road rage...

I have had some interesting road rage experiences, including having a phone book thrown at me. I still remember it landing opened on the windshield to the yellow pages.

I have to completely disagree with Deputy stupidchicken's mentality. How can you argue that enraging a guy that you already think is driving fast by slowing down and intentionally impeding him, getting him completely pissed off is all about watching out for his child's safety? You need to think about yourself and your passenger's safety first. What you are doing is tantamount to taunting an angry tiger and we all know how that ended.

These ppl crack me up! They are the ones that get all bent out of shape and its fun to toy with them.

So hes flashing his lights at me so I slow down to 67mph or so. He is talking to himself (i can see him clear as day in my rearview mirror) getting more upset. He continues so i slow down just under the posted speed limit. So now the regular lanes are starting to pass my on my right. My exit is coming up soon so im about to merge over anyways and ill just let this guy think that "he won".

But no he merges to the right, floors it, and as hes driving by my passenger side window he flings up his arms like "wtf a-hole". Then proceeds to almost rearend the car infront of him and merging violently into my lane basically cutting me off.

So I know what would really get this guy heated. I calmly merge over pull up next to him and give him the finger

Oh man did that set him off! He starts flinging his arms up in the air, giving me finger after finger on each hand, mouthing "**** you a-hole you piece of **** "

So I make a grab for the air (as if someone blew me a kiss) catch it and gentley place it on the side of my face while smiling at him. That pissed him off so much!

So now im basically dying laughing and that makes him even more pissed. So i contunue to merger over lanes one by one and exit off the freeway. Even my fiance was like "wow that guys a d-bag"

DUDE!!!!

MOVE OVER!!!!

No one cares that you're going over the speed limit, the car behind you is going faster, you are going slower, so you should move out of the way.

This drives me CRAZY!!! In Europe it's the law and you are fined for not getting out of the way, and the unwritten rules of the road say "Get the hell out of the way!!!"

I applaud the efforts of those in here trying to make a difference, but the thing is - there are people that are into driving and understand these things, and there are people who don't. It's like my sister's friend who does the same thing. I asked her why she can't just move over and let the person by - it's the same thing, she is basically having a blast being a little kid and taunting another person because she has been able to get away with it for a long time, and it's probably the only place in her life she can still act out like this. Like the little kid in the back of a car sticking his tongue out at people or something.. People feel safe in their cars I guess... Again since this is probably the only area in their lives they feel safe enough to act out like this, it's sort of an outlet... Till they meet the one person who inspires them to grow up quick.
