Do you feel Road Rage?

Do you think you exhibit 'road rage'? It doesn't have to be based on the chart below. 'Road rage' seems to be a growing trend in America. University of Hawaii professors teach drivers how to keep their emotions in check while driving.

I thought this was a pretty good little chart from the online story and must admit that a I got a bad 'grade' on a few of the categories, but still fall in between "moderate road rage" and "in control" of my emotions. I know of people who fall into the "dangerous" category according to this chart, but each one exhibits slightly different tendencies.

One guy I know actually caused someone to crash head-on into a light pole because they were both playing a 'game' of chicken after cutting each other off in traffic - he didn't stop to offer aid after the accident, either. There was also a female passenger in the crashed vehicle.

When someone cuts me off, I let them go - I never give chase or try to cut them off in response. I like to say, "they're probably late for an appointment with an accident."

Driving is too big a privilege to lose, not to mention the possible injuries or death that can result in venting anger on other drivers.

If anyone resents my soapbox lecture, I mean no offense. Please take a deep breath and slowly release it, and repeat this three times before driving your vehicle. Have a nice day.

Good test over all, except on how its scored. Imagine if you answered "On every trip" to questions 9 & 10 and those were your only two "on every trip" answers... compared to the same answer for, say, 2&3. Big difference.

I failed miserably... my columns were 4 3 3. But then, I don't run red lights, I don't tailgate and I drove impared once in my entire 18 years of driving and that was 13 years ago in college after trying to sleep it off in the car for an hour or so.

I'll admit it thought... I need to chill out in the car. I drive more aggressively than most of my friends on a regular basis.

I don't think the scoring is all that important. The purpose is to educate us drivers on what constitutes 'road rage', at least according to this university professor. When I first read the thing, I was shocked at how many things were on the list and how many I found myself responding to with, "... me... me... me."

well i don't honk my horn or run red lights. But i do everything else every time i'm behind the wheel.

I went to a therapist about my problem. Even tried "happy" bills. Nothing worked. I'm just a wreck.

2, 3, and 5...not proud of it. the 2 on the first column were #4 and 8. i'm usually pretty chill, but i do need to keep an eye on the speedometer.

.................i cant stand just about every other driver out there.... i realize not all of them are at fault, but god damn there are some stupid *** people out there!!!

What I can't stand are drivers that talk on the phone and don't pay attention to what they're doing. I was rear ended by this gal 4 years ago while I was merging onto 880 from Dixon Landing. She was talking on her cell phone. The worst part was, she didn't have insurance!!!!!
