I will also contend that I am a product of the environment. When I was driving in Europe (twice, each for a month or more) I never had any of the feelings of road rage because people know how to F'ing drive over there. It really makes me distraught to see the dumbass maneuvers I see on a daily basis here in the States. Oh well. If we all continually push for more, expanded, public transportation, maybe we can get the boneheads off the road and make the driving experience a little more sane.

I second that...in Europe I actually felt like people knew what was going on...I was right in my element!

All we have to do to take 9/10ths of all licensed drivers off our roads, is to make license tests as hard as they are in Europe...

And have our LEOs ticket these bastards instead of us for speeding away from these a$$holes!

i agree with that...however, seeing that they don't ticket them but ticket us, i hate cops as much as poor drivers.

We can't make the tests harder until there's public transportation that's close to as efficient as hopping in your car and driving to your destination. That's why they can make it soooo expensive to get your license in Europe and other countries. It's not that the tests are harder, it's just cost prohibitive and there's public transportation to match.

why I lose it:

idiots that use the slow lane to pass everybody (when traffic is moving at 75+ anyway), ever try to merge onto freeway with one of these motherf***ers coming up on you?

Swerving in between lanes with no signal, usually coming within hundreths-of-an-inch of your car.

Waiting until last possible minute to merge from fast lane to off-ramp (see above comment about no signal....0.005" within of my front bumper).

Cowboys in lifted 4 x 4 pickups that hate fast compacts and get off on tailgating me at 80mph on the freeway. They should stick to drinking keystone while watching their fly-zapper, or seeing who has more teeth: themselves or the jack-o-lantern in front of their trailer.

you should of beaten her with a rubber hose full of 3/4" ball bearings... i had the same thing happen to me in santa cruz in aug. luckily the girl that rearended me had insurance...

My two biggest pet peeves are:

-Drivers who sit in the number one lane (fast lane) and don't move over when someone comes up behind them, regardless of how fast they're going. This only applies when there's space in the number two lane for them to move into.

-No turn signals. I don't care where you're going or what reason you have for not using them. USE YOUR DAMN TURN SIGNALS!!!
