I too love the Extra Stout, but that is different than the Foreign Extra Stout which comes in at 7.5% ABV. I won't be visiting SS as I'm only doing Ireland and Scotland.
I'm enjoying the IPA now, and read that it is brewed in Edinburgh, where I'll be for almost a week.

Guinness Foreign Extra Stout has finally come to the US. ABV 7.5%,comes in a 4-pack of 11.2 oz. bottles for the same price as a 6-pack of Extra Stout in 12 oz. bottles. Anybody tried it? I find it delicious, but I haven't decided if I prefer it to the Extra Stout. I plan in-depth comparison testing.

I had a 2009 version while watching Monday Night Football. It is worth the wait.
I've got two 2008's, 7 2009's and plan on buying a dozen 2010's of which I plan to save at least 8 or so for the next few years. It's really fun to do verticals of them with some friends.

So I picked up the Trader Joe's Mission Street IPA. It is tastier than the Mission Street Pale Ale (which I find too bland). This here is a good IPA to do homework to though!

I drank that Lump of Coal stout last night. It was meh! Poured it into a pint glass and it didn't foam up or anything. The taste was mediocre at best. I wouldn't buy it if I saw it on the shelf. That's for sure.

If anyone here (ie: Bo or Jacob) has not yet had Dogfish Head's 90 Minute IPA, try it. It isn't a "slap you in the face" IPA. It is very well balance and quite tasty... although my burps tonight keep tasting like Absinthe.

Had some beer during Christmas.
Trader Joe's Vintage Ale was very tasty. 9% alc.
And my Brother In-Law found my beer. Light tasting but decent.

I had the 60 minute IPA and wasn't impressed at all. The 90 minutes comes in a 4 pack, But I have never had it. I guess I have to give it a try.

It's good stuff, but can be hit n miss. Sometimes I get a bad bottle or two. There's always some in my fridge tho!
It's very smooth and malty for an IPA, but excellent. Like I said though, you can get a weird tasting bottle here and there. Just like home brew. Might be more of a thing of the past, but still worth mentioning. I have heard the same about the 60min, but never tried it.
