Oh man that's great news - thanks for contributing to the thread.
But seriously.. You can find Pliny the Elder in the bottle regularly in SF at City Beer Store and irregularly at Whole Foods in Campbell and a few others. Also, there is a place in SJ called "Wine Affairs" or something like that which supposedly has it on tap.
It's a very hoppy IPA but completely not worth the hype, or the BS.
Never tried Pliny the Younger, and 100% sure I never will.
Matt - glad you liked it - I know you have had it before, but more never hurts. Your Sunday sounds crazy. Scarlett Johansson coming over or something?

Doing a BBQ in remembrance of Dan (JoeBobBucket).

It's an Imperial IPA. PtE is good, but as Wombat said, it isn't worth the hype. I also think its kind of silly for the owner to go "We know there is more demand than we can supply for, but we have no plans to enlarge the brewery." There are obviously no investors in that operation!

What cracks me up about RRBC is what Matt said. If it's so popular, why not produce more? Someone with tight pants and clothes my father threw away in the 70's would probably say that making more would ruin it, but that's just not true.
Anyway, beer is a very personal and subjective thing. Everyone's tastes are different and complicated by the way that they change. For myself, the only beer I have stuck with the whole time is Deschutes' Mirror Pond and their Bachelor Bitter. But there are soooooo many awesome breweries out there!! We are blessed, truly blessed.
Anyone try Seirra's Hoptimum? I thought it was pretty crazy... At first I was punched in the face by the 10.4%ABV but then it settled down and was very drinkable.
Also scored a pile of Deschutes Hop Trip and a couple Hop Henge which are two favorites of mine. Admittedly I sound like a Deschutes promoter and sure - I'll wear that hat. They make amazing beer, and make it available for the people who love it without any detriment to quality.

I think i'll pass on it. lol
I know I don't care for super hoppy drinks.
In other news, well not news, but I found a bottle of samuel smith oatmeal stout and a imperial stout tucked away in the pantry.
Had the oatmeal stout last night and was way better than I remembered. Very good. Can't wait to taste the imperial, which i've never had before.
Still not as good as the Zywiec Porter i've recently had.
