The Official Bay Area Beer Thread
Hope the rain lets up so you can have some fun there.
I live right around where the skate park is at the community center. I drive a 2010 wrx wrb hatch (as my avatar shows)

I am still recovering from yesterday. Oktoberfest followed by Giants game followed by Sharks game. It was a long day
Gotcha... I'm the only LGT in my complex, but like I said there's an 08/09 hatch and also a black wrx/sti somewhere (heard it and caught a few glances of it).... I'm over in Avalon.

I wish I was a mod so I could make that my avatar
In other news, the Stone 10.10.10 Vertical Epic is out. Not that I like belgian styles, but I still got one to try. The Double Bastard is also out.
For the stout fans, I'd suggest sourcing some of the newly available (BevMo got it within the last month) Guinness Foreign Stout, not the Extra Stout. So tasty, and so happy it is here in the states now.

So, Vertical Epic 10.10.10 opinions? I think its ok, but I'm not in love with it, meaning I won't buy it again, but if someone offered me a glass of it I wouldn't turn it down.

Has anyone here tried the Nogne O Imperial Stout? Just recently tried it and it was a real treat to have.
So with temperatures cooling down, i've decided to start brewing some beer. Does anybody have any recommendations on a beer brewing kit to build/buy that I can make some good beer from scratch? (no packet pre-mixes etc.)

Just east of Sonora, up the hill. Twain Harte area. Near Dodge Ridge ski resort.
I'll check them out. Thanks!
I've always wanted to brew my own beer and make the flavors I like and maybe one day start a brewery.
