In case you're wondering Bo, next up after the English IPA is done is a chocolate and cherry stout, followed by that tasty IPA again. I have so many stout variations I want to do though! Chocolate/Cherry, Bourbon/Oak, Vanilla, Chocolate/Peppermint...

 

...then you have many variations I would like to quality test for you

 

Has anyone tried the Blue Moon winter abbey ale? I thought it tasted very good!

 

Anyone else man enough to handle double bastard? 12 percent of the darkest ale you've ever had holiday brews are the best

Just saw that Trader Joe's has 2010 Vintage Ale - $4.99 for a 750ML bottle, 9%. Dark and heavy, I thought it was good for the price. Cheers!

 

I bought one to. Have yet to drink it. How was it? On the back they recommend tucking it away for a few years in the cellar.

 

not gonna happen! I liked it, especially for that price, and will most likely try to pick up a few more bottles before it runs out. But I get destructed by the wines that are coming in - they got a nice 09 Chateauneuf Du Pape for $9.99 (fresh and spicy, but it had a good flavor to it) and this year Beaujolais Nouveau should be out any day now.

 

Got these in a Christmas Variety pack last year. Going to try them tonight. Will update.

Seriously, has no one tried the Nogne O Imperial Stout? You guys are missing out!

 

I had a 2009 version while watching Monday Night Football. It is worth the wait.

I've got two 2008's, 7 2009's and plan on buying a dozen 2010's of which I plan to save at least 8 or so for the next few years. It's really fun to do verticals of them with some friends.
