at the casa w/my Lake Show gear on, snacks in hand and ready to get game 5 started! our guys gotta bring the wood and play STRONG from the very first second! it's all about EFFORT and DEFENSE! everyone in the purple+gold has to lay it all out there tonight!

great look by KB, and good job by Sasha to hit the trey to close the half on a high note!
well played half by both squads...Nugs shot better from the floor, esp from 3 pt range, which helped them maintain their lead most of the way.
on the flip side, we're doing a better job in the paint on both ends....contesting shots and giving up less easy passing lanes+scoring opportunities. we have to close out on the Nugs shooters better tho...can't give up so many wide open treys, esp to JR+Kleiza+Chauncey.
our offense is decent....getting more production down low+rebounds, but Pau needs more touches. it helps open up the floor when he has the ball cuz the Nugs are so concerned w/his scoring+passing ability. nice to see D-Fisher taking better shots and not settling for just long J's....even better that he's hitting some! he+Sasha+Farmar have to hit their treys tho. Sasha'a the buzzer was our only one of te half! giving up Nugs treys+not making ours won't cut it!
being more aggressive in the paint has helped us a lot...Bynum+Odom+Luke especially. they have to keep it up and go at the Nugs bigs a little stronger. we're getting more paint pts+offensive rebs, but we missed some easy flip shots+floaters. Birdman blocked+diverted a few too.....go STRONG+convert or get to the line!
KB had a quiet half, but it was good that he trusted the other guys & got them involved. he can't do everything himself the whole series! we'll def need him in the 2nd if we're gonna win this one, so he'll have to assert himself more coming outa the break.
oh, and Trevor+Bynum have 3 fouls, so they have to play a lil smarter+not pick up any ticky-tack fouls....still gotta move+check their guys tho!
2nd half should be even better than the 1st. let's keep up the intensity+effort and win this one!

really proud of the effort our guys gave tonight! they came out and played the way the game need to be played....energetic, smart, and with HEART!!
we did much better in all the key areas.....defense, esp in the paint, rebounding, going after loose *****, getting our bigs involved on offense+not settling for long J's, and, most importantly, WE PLAYED CONSISTENT FOR THE WHOLE GAME!! Thank you, Lord Almighty!
seriously, KB's our on court leader & always gets all the pub after wins, but our other guys won us this game. Lamar came up HUGE w/19 pts, 14 rebs & 4 blked shots! dude is capable of doing that EVERY game, so we need him to keep putting in that kind of effort!
Pau+Drew gave us good mins as well...locking down the key and not giving up easy points. they hafta keep bringing their hardhats like that. plain and simple, we won this game in the trenches aka paint! that's the way we need to play.....inside-outside.
much thx to Shannon Brown for energizing us w/the FILTHY facial on Birdman too! Bird got Lamar early in the 1st qtr, but after Shannon put that one down on Bird's dome, it really gave the guys+crowd a boost! even Lamar had to come back and get back at Bird w/the and1 flush.
all of that said, do NOT take my excitement for being content or celebrating anything. we haven't done jack YET! we have to get back out there again and do everything as we just did and KEEP doing it until we put the Nugs away+win this series!

it's all good, 2cam. we can enjoy thi win, but let's just keep it humble+moving and not get wrapped up in messing w/the haters or any other nonsense!
Nugs played great and really impressed me in this game more than any other...even their big 19pt win in game4. they basically took our best shot defensively and hung around all the way until late in the 4th. we just did what we're supposed to do as the squad w/homecourt advantage. we took care of biz and got this win @home. but the Nugs play great at home too, so we can't get all happy right now. we gotta stay focused and take care of biz in this series by winning one more, preferably on Fri in Denver. whatever happens in game 5, it's most def gonna be another exciting one!
