Nice physical game. Wee needed one like that. Kobe was on fire. OWNED Battier. I think that booklet to guard Kobe Battier had (they showed it during one of the breaks) should be thrown out the door. NOTHING worked.
That was a dirty foul by Fisher but you know what, he was just protecting his boys. I think he's out the next game.
Kobe's ? All part of the game, Laker haters. All part of the game. The old Artest came out. I knew it was still in him, freakin' psycho cry-baby.

don't mind the Laker haters, 2cam.....all part of the territory. it makes things more fun. playoff basketball should be intense. although, i will say that i have way more respect for true fans that support rival squads than guys that just randomly pop up to add their $.02. for teams they don even rep. that's how some people are tho...can't get mad at them.

anyways, KB was bananas yesterday, but he can't do it all himself. we're gonna need Pau to keep playing strong, esp D'ing up Yao. Lamar has to continue to clean the glass, give us a few more buckets, and MAKE HIS FTs!! Bynum needs to stay outa foul trouble and stay on the floor as well. he's been a non-factor in the playoffs to this point.......need a whole lot more from him, esp controlling the paint.

now i see on espn.com that d-fish is suspended for next game.....no surprise, it was a pre-meditated move. i think did it knowing he'd get suspended and wanted to fire up our young bucks.....the crowd too. it worked, but now Shannon & Jordan really gotta do their thing. we need them to play hard and contain Brooks & Lowry, but they have to be smart and not get into foul trouble now that we're shorthanded.

looks like KB's elbow on Artest got upgraded to a flagrant foul too......pretty laughable cuz guys are always swinging bows on the box and wasn't even that bad, but i guess what went down w/D-Fish prior made the L officials want to send a message and try to diffuse things for game 3. they're definitely gonna call the next game real tight, so we'll have to mind ourselves but not lose our intensity & edge.

game 3 will be really key. we can't let them regain their confidence. if we go in and take game 3, we can build some real good momentum. but we'll have to do just that......TAKE it! the Rockets are playing hard and aren't just laying down. we need to play just as hungry as them.

hard fought half by both squads....Lake Show cooled off in the 2nd qtr and couldn't stop Scola or Yao on the block. our bigs gotta keep fighting and get more stops. KB needs to mix things up and go to the hole more instead of settling for so many long jumpers. Farmar is playing pretty well but has to knock down more of those open treys to help spread the floor and create opportunities for the others. bynum, ariza, & odom have to play smarter and stay outa foul trouble.....way too many offensive & touch fouls!

we're only up 2 at the break, as long as we come out and clean things up in the 3rd, we should be aiite. keep it close until the 4th aka KB-time, and we'll have a good shot at pulling this out.

we're doing a much better job on Yao & Scola. Rockets are struggling to score, and we're up 10. but we're in a bit of a scoring slump too. most of our points are coming off steals. we're settling for too many J's......missed like 4 in a row. take it to the hole...STRONG and put pressure on their D......KB & Odom esp since their J's aren't falling. we can do this!

WOOT! Who's you daddy ? The Lakers of course.
They came in with the hunger and the heart I haven't seen in awhile. This is how they should show-up for every playoff game. To me,props to the WHOLE team today.

 

ugh, i-club ate ANOTHER one of my replies before i could post it, whatever.......i'm hella hyped too!

the guys really did come out hungry and played w/heart. we've been waiting for them to do this all season, and it looks like they're finally doing it!

Pau & Bynum did a much better job keeping Yao from consistently posting down low & contested shots when he did get position. we still need more buckets+rebounds and less fouls from Drew, but at least he contributed this game.
Lamar had an off night, but made a few big buckets.....gonna have to bounce back in game 4 tho. we need his boards & playmaking.
Luke gave us good minutes....helping move the rock & hit some nice spot up shots.
Trevor was in foul trouble most of the night.....gotta stop those touch fouls, but he was real nice beyond the arc, as were most of our guys. our 3pt shooting was one of the things that won the game for us tonight. the other......

my game MVP, Farmar!! KB did his thing, but the young buck really stepped up for us. he needs to hit more of his spot up treys to helps us spread the floor, but he was GREAT on all other aspects......dropping dimes, hitting pull-up J's, & esp. on D. he really played Brooks well....fighting over screens & keeping him from getting open looks, pressuring ball handlers, & not letting up until the final buzzer. i'm w/mark jackson & van gundy.....hope PJ keeps Farmar in the starting line-up and brings D-Fish in w/the 2nd unit. Jordan's speed & quickness makes him a better match-up against Brooks. D-Fish give the Bench Mob his vet leadership and should be able to get a lot of spot up shots w/our speed unit.

woohoo, what a way to start the weekend! BUT the work's not done yet! we gotta get 2 more to take the series. if we keep grindin' like tonight, we can get #1 on Sunday.
