Lake Show off to a really slow start. everyone, esp KB, look rusty. he's a lil under the weather tonight, so the others gotta step up and pick up the slack. they need to pund it inside and go to the cup strong w/yao out.

we're actually pretty lucky to only be down 3 at the half. man, our offense is HORRIBLE so far....no ball movement, turnover city, & KB i bricking up a storm. Pau's gonna have his hands full guarding Yao, so Lamar has to be more aggressive w/the ball. we couldn't have played much worse the first half, so if we come back and clean things up a bit, we should be able to pull this one out. our D has been pretty good tho.....just gotta make sure to keep closing out on the shooters.

awful performance.....these guys didn't learn anything at all from the last series. they all came out flat and didn't play w/any real urgency until it was basically too late in the 4th qtr.
the Rockets didn't even play all that well and still won. like Yao just said in the postgame interview, they were hungry and wanted the win. the Lakers didn't and just figured they could turn on the juice whenever they wanted like against the Jazz. IT DOESN'T WORK LIKE THAT, ESP IN THE PLAYOFFS, YOU KNUCKLEHEADS! when will these guys wake up and get it thru their thick heads that they can't just sleepwalk?
man, i'm so frustrated w/their underachieving, half-as#ed play!? these guys just don't get it. all that work to get the homecourt advantage, and we just give it up the first game....SHAMEFUL!
and Barkley is right.....D-Fish can not defend Brooks. he's too old & slow now. they need to put Farmar or Brown on him more. Brooks keeps breaking Fish down and getting into the key for shots+assists. Yao Ming kicked both Pau & Bynum's as$es. they need to quit being doormats and stop him from getting such deep position on the block. Pau has to go strong to the hole and quit settling for lame flip shots and so many jumpers.
only the first game, but we need to clean up our act & ATTITUDE.......NOW!! not soon, not eventually......NOW!! quit screwing around!!
game 2 on Wed.....we better show up w/our A+ game from the tip and play it the whole F'ing game.

Yup, this was one bad part I didn't like in the game. They didn't capitalize on this.

you know what? had just Kobe/Odom played a normal "Kobe Odom game" we would have dominated. the Rockets are most definitely not a better team than us, we just had a really off game with a lot of mess ups. Performance that was not normal for the Lakers. it will be a 4-1 series.

still mad at how the Lake Show played last night but good to know i'm not the only one that's not content w/their shoddy performance. yes, it's only one game/loss, so there's no need to panic. but we know the squad is capable of playing so much better. if only they would realize that and stop messing around. if they don't, this could get ugly cuz the Rockets have much better games in them too!
everyone, incl the Rockets, knows that we're the most talented & deepest squad in the L, and no one can beat us if we come out and play our game. but we need to go out there and do just that.....play OUR game......not the half-a$#ed ball we've been putting out there lately, but the real Lake show basketball that we put down on the Cavs & Celts as we swept both of them! the Rockets are a very good team, but we're really just beating ourselves. we need to play w/heart and hunger each and every game......throughout the entire game! there are only so many wake-up calls we can get & ignore before we get bitten in the a$#! we just got our butts chewed up last night, so what more do the guys need to get them to check themselves?? WAKE UP, NOW!!!!!!!!!! LAKE SHOW!!!!!!
