Lake Show just got F'n ROBBED!? forget the 2 back to back PRAYERS by Duncan & Mason in the closing seconds. the refs basically end the game by WRONGLY calling a travel on Ariza's last drive?! AND no foul?! All 3 broadcasters agreed the refs were WRONG and blew BOTH CALLS!?

f#ck, i can take a straight up loss, but to have the refs decide what was otherwise a great game is a travesty. they give Mason an and one opportunity on that prayer (which he baited them into by kicking out his leg, something that the NBA supposedly said they told refs not to fall for this year), but pull TWO boners on the other end on the SAME play??......the GAME ENDING play??

simply inexcusable.

 

i think basketball gods were leaning towards the spurs tonight considering those 2 miracle shots went in for the spurs. no matter how good kobe is, he can't beat the basketball gods. haha

i have a dream today......a dream that the Lake Show will shake off the 2 heartbreaking losses to the Spurs & Magic and beat Lebron+the Cavs tonight. If we get back to playing consistent, solid D+team ball, we'll be able to shout, "FREE AT LAST, FREE AT LAST! THANK GOD ALMIGHTY, WE ARE FREE AT LAST!! (from the oppression of our lackadaisical play)

slow start by the Lake Show, as they turned the ball over several times and didn't crash the boards as hard as they should've. KB gave us a scare by dislocating a finger on his shooting handwhile guarding Lebron too, but they closed out the first quarter strong w/better D, which led to a few steals and conversions on the other end, incl 2 timely treys by Sasha. it's a helluva game so far!

decent game by the Lake Show....not great, but we got the W. we turned the ball over too much, still are not closing out on shooters well enough, esp on the arc, and need to finish off quarters better.

That said, the game was won in the paint by our bigs, Bynum & Pau. Drew played w/more energy, esp cleaning the glass, blocking shots, and making strong moves to the hoop. we definitely need more games like this from him. Pau was our MVP tho. he shot the ball well and also was a beast on the boards and attacking the basket. if those two keep playing like that, we will be VERY, VERY good!

as for KB, props to him for being a true warrior and playing w/his dislocated finger. hopefully it's not more than that cuz we're already shorthanded w/the injuries to Luke and Jordan. KB did a good job checking Lebron, but he did have a bunch of help, incl our Twin Towers holding things down in the paint and Trevor converging on Bron's drives. it was a good team effort containing him tho.

finally, much thanks to Sasha for his pesky D+Machine like shooting from downtown. Vlad dropped some big treys too, and Lamar gave us some good energy on both ends as well. we're gonna be home for 4 more games, so we have a great opportunity to get some good wins.

Nice win. Everyone contributed, even Trevor at the end. Yeah, KB is a warrior, all beat-up but still playing his game except that finger was bothering him when he missed thos two free throws.

 

game was kinda ugly, but, yeah, it was a nice win. dropping 3 in a row wouldn't have cut it.

sounds like KB's finger isn't too bad. he says he's gonna tough it out and play against the clips tomorrow. i'm sure it's bothering him tho. after he dislocated it, he kept catching the ball w/his left. he dunked it lefty on that breakaway too. hopefully it'll heal soon. he's good w/his left, but it's still gonna limit his aggressiveness, esp on D.

as long as we don't underestimate the Clips, tonight's game shouldn't be much of a problem. Luke & Jordan are still out, and KB's hurting too, so anything's possible. Clips have a lota talent, but fortunately, they're a lil young+inexperienced, except for B-Diddy & Camby.

yeah, bynum has been beasting all game, but they've been screwing around a lil too much in the 4th trying to get Bynum his last bucket to 40.
