Nah...i don't watch basketball...my theatre teacher is crazy about them. if they win...we do nothing...they lose...we have to do something stupid. its kind of funny. Put a poster up of the houston rockets on her wall...she goes ape ish on your ***!

 

no kidding. Didn't KB hit 20/20 on his 61 night.

Talk about a turn around. 50% is BAAAAD. Nearly cost them the game.

 

man, i feel as if i was playing last night....hella drained+throat is sore from yelling, esp during the end of regulation & OT! lol it was all worth it tho. it was a huge win!

it gives us......

1. the sweep of the season series
2. the tie-breaker for home court in the playoffs if both squads end up w/the same reg season records
3. prolly most important....a mental boost and affirmation that we can beat the Celts even w/out Bynum.....at home....at their house....and at their own game while playing smashmouth basketball!

 

had to make sure to get that first part in cuz dang i-club keeps eating my replies before they're posted.......hella frustrating!?

anyways, that was a huge win last night, but it's still important not to lose focus or look too far ahead. there's still a whole lota reg season left, and anything can happen. i won't count anyone out, esp the Spurs, Nuggets, Hornets, and Rockets. they're all banged up too, but they all have a bunch of talent as well. w/out Bynum, the Lake Show can't afford to just cruise through any game. they need to play solid ball from here on out!

basically, our bench and Lamar are gonna take us as far as we will go. KB & Pau will get theirs, but the Dynamic Duo will need a few more Super Friends to join the fight. our guards especially need to improve their play. D-Fish can not shoulder the load of locking dudes down AND filling the bucket. Sasha & Farmar have to start closing out on shooters better and shooting more effectively.

time to get back to biz and rest up for the big game on Sunday vs Bron & the Cavs. HAPPY TGIF, Y'ALL!

about an hour to go before the big showdown! i dunno if our new guys, morrison+brown, will be playing or even w/us, but we def could use all the shooters & fresh bodies we can get against to cavs' tough D. it's already been a great roadtrip, and a win would cap it off perfectly!

btw, i hate the Spurs, but props to them for playing the Celts real tough so far in Beantown. they put up 60 pts in the 1st half on them leprechauns!

tough first half so far.....cavs playing strong D as usual, and the whole squad is shooting the lights out, esp mo williams, ilgauskas, and szczerbiak. Lake Show's D isn't bad, but, again, the cavs are shooting really well. hopefully that doesn't continue.

on offense, we're not getting much from anyone besides Pau & Lamar. KB had a decent half, but took some tough shots, and that turnover before the buzzer was pretty big. he's under the weather and looks a lil tired, but we need him to dig down and pick it up a bit. we need a lil more from our bench too.....at least for sasha & farmar to contain mo williams a lil better.

our Twin Towers v2.0, Lamar+Pau, are putting in work today! Odom is especially beasting......15 pts in the 3rd qtr to bring us back from a 10 pt halftime deficit! KB is still laying low in the cut, and got an IV at halftime. as long as he's out there tho, he's better than 90% of the players in the L.

YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!! way to go, Lake Show! the guys really showed some real toughness this entire 6-0 roadtrip, esp against the Celts and today's game vs the Cavs. it's great how they all rallied together and didn't let Bynum's injury deflate them! hats off to PJ, D-Fish, KB, Pau, & Lamar for keeping the young guys focused!

Pau was our rock w/his steady play, but, yup, Lamar was our MVP this game......28+17!? man, this the type of game dude is capable of pulling every time out! he just needs to believe in himself and stay assertive. w/bynum out, he's gonna have to do just that. really happy for dude tho. he's always had all the tools to dominate in the L. again, he just needs to trust in his abilities and stay on the grind!

whata coupla weeks for the squad! now they can head back home for some much deserved rest and come back out swinging again! best wishes to KB on shaking his flu. i just got over mine.....ain't fun at all!

the Lake Show finally got back to Staples for some home cookin and dined on the Thunder tonight. OKC actually played us pretty tough, but we just had too much firepower & experience for em.....

KB 34+7 coming off the flu and including several KB-like highlight plays.....3 dunks & a crazy reverse lay-up

the Bench Mob came to play too, as Sasha, Jordan, & Trevor all had 9 pts each! :banana:

the squad's really pulling together while Bynum's out! one more game to go before the All Star Break. the guys have been playing hard and deserve the much needed rest.

nice start to the 2nd half of the season last night! congrats to Pau on his triple-double and to Lamar for his huge double-double. KB has been challenging him to get 20 boards, and LO met the challenge last night! dude's been Mr Clean on the glass lately....averaged 19 boards the 3 previous games before the break!

well, couple hours before tip-off of our last game of the reg season at Oracle. hope the W's make it a competitive one!

lota Lake Show fans all over the world, incl in The Bay. just turn on the tube and see how many Lakers jerseys there'll be in the crowd at Oracle tonight. everybody loves the Lakers!

 

W's playing pretty well so far. Crawford's J is hot. Randolph picked up 2 off fouls on Odom, and Ronny is bringing his usual energy.

for the Lake Show, KB is laying low and trying to get others involved. Pau needs to pick it up a bit w/Lamar in foul trouble. our bench needs to pitch in too.
