Wink GO LAKERS!!!!!! (and "Warriors" too?!!)

Well, "Employee #8....err, #24" has finally got the Lake Show back on the winning track w/2 back to back stellar performances....first dropping 65 in an OT thriller against the JailBlazers on Fri & lowering the boom on the T-Pups w/a 50pt effort. That guy is goooood!

Oh, and almost the whole LAKERS starting squad decided to show up tonight too, which was real nice......

Luke Walton....10 pts 8 rebounds 11 assists
Odom......16+9+8
Smush Parker.......19+7+9

Kwame "Hands of Stone" Brown.......no comment

Man, it was a rough going for us LAKER fans for a while, but, hopefully, they can rally around KB & get it together to make it to the bonus round(S) and do some damage when/if they get there!

Oh, and not lost in all of this is the resurgence?? of the "Warriors!" I still root for these guys in my heart, but, as most of us Bay Area OG's know, it's just self-preservation not getting too high on them. Let's hope B-Diddy & Co can keep things going in the right direction too and finally do you know what.

yeah, most warriors fans seem to have a love-hate relationship w/B-Diddy. i personally have always liked the dude........super cool guy.....got to play pick-up w/him once during his/my buddies' UCLA days. he always just needed to settle down, stop jacking up moonball treys, and get his body in shape. hopefully he's on track to doing that and becoming more of a leader too. the warriors definitely need a floor general. i like j-rich, but he's not much of a captain on the court, imo.

i definitely feel ya on that one...warriors have rough patches of brilliant offense but they REALLY need to learn how to play defense, team D and one on one. It's actually kindof embarassing how bad their defense is.

the warriors are something like 6-0 with their starting lineup in tact. The upside about the Warriors this year is that we CAN and HAVE beat some very good teams this year. The downside is that we lose to the crappy teams.

yikes, who woulda thunk the LAKE SHOW & Warriors would be mirror images of each other?? times definitely are hard, i guess! lol

seriously tho, the LAKERS D of late has been straight pitiful too. they started out the season playing pretty darn good on the other end, but now everyone is playing matador D, esp. Smush.......that guy wouldn't be able to guard my grandma!?

also like the Warriors, the LAKERS have been playing down to their competition all season long. they've beaten the Spurs AND Mavs at their dojos, but they've been fleeced by the NBA's bottom feeders like the Bobcats & Bucks.

I dunno how many games they gave away w/their underachieving ways, esp these past 2 weeks. granted, they've been fighting numerous injuries to their key starters, incl Odom, Walton, and even Kwame, but there's no excuse for dropping 7 straight like they just did. in the hotly-contested West, EVERY game counts. They could be and were solidly in the 5th spot, and now they're duking it out w/the Chix Nuggets for 5th or 6th and are w/in striking distance of the Clippers and, OMFG, the Warriors!?

man, the rest of the reg season is gonna have me on pins & needles....

the warriors have definately had their share of injuries this year. JRich has was out most of the first half if not all of it. BDiddy was out here and there, monta, jackson, and harrington, all had their little stints of injury. so basically right now is the only time i think their real starting 5 are all healthy.

tough loss for the warriors yesterday against the jazz. they were smokin em in the 1st 1/2 but things really fell apart in the 4th.

bad news is that the clips won earlier tonight, so diddy+gang are gonna have to get it together soon or they'll be going fishing early again.

I just got an e-mail from Ticketmaster about Warriors playoff tickets. Well, I'm sure that's the first time any Warriors fan has gotten that e-mail. The last time the Warriors were in the playoffs, the internet was still an expensive idea for common folk.

Yeah I think the last time the warriors were in the playoffs was back in 95 or 96 when they had sprewell, cwebb, owens, gatling and other good players. Too bad they had lost the first round playing the Suns.
