well, Suns were already shorthanded before the J-Rich for Diaw+Bell trade went down earlier today, but the Lake Show still gotta come out focused and play like they're up against a top-tier squad.......no more underestimating opponents like they did w/the Queens last night!

we got another W but are still playing extremely sloppy. our D really sucks. if we don't clamp down, there's no sense worrying about the celtics or cavs. we won't ake it out of the west w/a 1/2 as#ed defense!

as for bellinelli, i still duno about that dude, but apparently he did do his thing last night. that over the backboard shot was pretty smooth. maybe that'll up his trade value a bit. they might be able to get a new ballboy or mascot for him now! lol

 

the Lake Show got back the game they gave away to the Queens the other night, but they still didn't play that well. they should be putting away hapless squads like them, the Wiz, T-pups, etc. early.

mwanwhile, the Celts & Cavs are rolling and playing great. KB, D-Fish, & Phil better find a way to whip the squad into shape. their defense is getting to be as bad as the Warriors'!

 

Yeah, they are playing scrappy. They better get their act together before the Christmas Day showdown,at home at that !

man, the Lakers almost let another one get away.....to the Knicks!? David Lee, Q-Rich, & esp that mighty mite, Nate Robinson, were kicking their as#es all night. lucky KB saved us with some clutch shots in the 4th. Ariza & Lamar had a couple down the stretch too, but it should have never come down to that. their D is just HORRIBLE !!!!!!!!? our guards can't keep anyone out of the lane!

if they keep playing like this, the Celts are gonna cream them on Xmas day!

 

kb tried, but he couldn't save us this time. like our other losses, it shouldn't have even come down to the last shot tho.

title contenders y a$#......we're struggling to beat sorry squads like the Wiz, Queens, Knicks, & Heat!? '09 can't come soon enough. Lake Show have been playing like hot garbage the last month. they better come to play tomorrow vs the Magic.

just like last night, kb's shot goes halfway down & out at the buzzer. and, again, the game should never have coe down to that. Lakers didn't utilize their size and got killed by orlando's shooters.

man, dropping 2 games in a row for the first time this season sucks. if this doesn't wake their a$#es up, i don't know what will!? we're really dysfunctional right now. who knows how long Farmar will be out w/his torn MCL too. there better be a Staples Center miracle or this Xmas is gonna suck!

in other news, props to Crawford for dropping 50 on the Bobcats and getting the Warriors the W.

yeah, drew hasn't been giving us much lately. he had a decent game (2nd half) tonight, but he really needs to step things up, esp since we just got word that farmar is gonna be out at least 8 weeks cuz of his torn mcl. they stopped the bleeding by beating the Grizz but just BARELY.

i think mitch might have to make a move and get us a back up pg to hold things down until farmar comes back. d-fish is too old to play heavy minutes, and we need him to be fresh for the playoffs. well, on to the big easy to face cp3 & co. it's gonna be a tough game. we kicked their butts in our last encounter, and they're gonna want revenge.

oh, and the warriors got smacked by the Magic. Pietrus, Rashard, & Jameer were raining 3's on them all game...Jameer didn't even miss a single shot!?

the Lake Show are a puzzling group. first they struggle to beat bottom-feeders like the Knicks, Wiz, Grizz, & Heat. then they come back tonight and whoop the Hornets!

oh well, glad they were able to clamp down on cp3 & the gang to get some much needed momentum going into Xmas Day's showdown w/the Celts. it's gonna be difficult w/out Farmar cuz Rondo is really playing well this season, but if the guys can't get up for this game, i dunno if there's anything else that can spur them to play up to their potential. can't wait until gametime!

YEAH BOYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEE!!! WAY TO GO LAKE SHOW, Y'ALL GAVE ME EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED FOR XMAS.....a BIG win over the Celts! :banana:

man, it's only one game, but it was a GREAT one....not just cuz we won. both squads came out pumped and slugged back and forth all game long like it was Game 7 of the Finals! KG, Rondo, Ray Ray, Pierce, Tony Allen, & Perkins all fought real hard. heck, even Big Baby was out there in the trenches, but, fortunately, we were up to the task and showed the intensity & effort, esp on D, that should've been there in last season's Finals.

Every dude in the Purple & Gold stepped up, but KB, Bynum, and Pau were HUGE. Drew gave us the presence in the paint that we needed last time around, and Pau really threw down. no doubt he was fired up to silence the critics, incl moi, that put him on blast for his soft play last Finals. homeboy was a certified BEAST today on both ends. he basically won us the game in the last two minutes w/3 clutch buckets in a row & that steal at midcourt+subsequent tip-out assist to Ariza for the flush....just bananas! if y'all missed it, check Sportscenter's Top 10. that play most def will be in it...prolly #1.

whew, lota typing and hype for just one game, but this was a biggie for us Lake Show faithful. it gives us just a glimpse of what we can do if we come out focused for H qtrs. hopefully we can build on this game and etch it into our memories for how to play from here on out!
