man, i seriously cringed when you & Subaru_dude posted about us having a huge lead. i never was a real superstitious dude, but i've developed a few....err, 'quirks,' when it comes to watching Lake Show games. if y'all haven't noticed, i really try to keep my trap shut and not do in-game posts....only at tip-time & the half. usually doesn't work out too well when i chit-chat during.....crazy, i know, but i'm sticking to it! lol

anyways, glad the guys didn't slack off this time. i was confident but weary of a catastrophic chokejob like we had vs the Celts last Finals. Thankfully, KB+PJ had everyone cocked+locked+ready to ROCK last night tho!

so, you betcha, I'm feeling pretty good....more relieved than anything. i'm sure the guys are even more grateful to be able to catch their breath for a bit. they had were in 3 dogfight series, and KB+Pau have played A LOT of ball the last 3 years, esp Mamba......Olympic qualifying+Olympics+NBA seasons, incl playoffs all 3 years?!! i dunno how dude manages to perform at such a high level throughout......but just KB being KB!

 

thx, man! i know i get super HYPED a lot, but purple & gold seriously runs through my veins! i feel real sorry for my neighbors on game days! there's a reason why i prefer to watch games on my own! lol

 

And those are a few reasons why he's the TRUE MVP to me.

 

word, 2cam! Mamba + Co's gonna have to all play MVP-caliber ball to complete our mission and beat the Magic for the title tho. we all saw what they did to the Lebrons, and ORL did sweep us 2-0 during the reg season too! but both squads seem to be hitting full stride right now, so as long as we stay focused and keep playing the we're capable like games 5 & 6, we'll have a good shot and coming out on top!

we are really going to have our hands full w/Hedo+Shard & Dwight tho. imo, our squad will have to choose either of the 2 evils to lock down. we can't expect to shut em all dow ni say clamp down on the shooters more. Dwight is a beast, but he's not as deadly as Shard+Hedo. those dudes destroy teams when they're hitting shots, esp from deep. Dwight is less consistent & not as good at the FT line either. we should be able to win even if Dwight goes for 40, but gotta keep the others in check.

I honestly think this has been the best NBA Playoff series IN A LONG TIME which makes me believe the Finals will absolutely awesome. I see 7 games in this series.

Will the Lakers win? **** I hope so.. do I think they will? I have no idea. It's gonna be a serious fight for the finish.

 

I agree. For the most parts the playoffs haven't been all that interesting for YEARS.

I think if Ariza keeps playing like he has been and kobe as well it's a done deal.

Kobe is scoring at will for the most part but not overdoing it. He's played smarter than I think I've ever seen him play. I think the olympics have really helped his game. 13 years in the league have showed him that the real gift of a champion is elevating the rest of the team to championship level play.

Lebron clearly hasn't learned that yet. I think he probably learned that lesson this year. He's gonna be scary in a couple years. If they keep building and he keeps learning I could honestly see him retiring with 4 or 5 rings if he plays for 15 years. Specially if they get him a big man.

I am kind of sad that they're not facing off in the finals. I think it would have been good for the game and I would have loved to see lebron get outplayed. haaaaa.

 

def nice to see KB maturing and trusting his teammates more. thing is, he actually can now. when he had Kwame+Smush+Chris Mihm, etc, he hd no choice but to try to go into Mamba-mode every game. sometimes i do miss the old KB that got MAJOR buckets tho....exciting to watch, but we're better w/the new #24.

as for this series, lota guys i've been talking to seem to think the Lakers are just gonna roll over the Magic.....surprising. i'm not so sure and am expecting another tough, competitive series. but i'll admit...A-game to A-game, the Lakers win. we gotta keep bringing it tho! man, is it Thurs yet?? lol
