I think what has been really un-interesting for the most part has been the Finals. The playoffs themselves have been great in the last few years. Remember Hornets v Spurs series last year? The whole western series last year? WARRIORS v. Dallas?!!?! A few years ago when AI was still in Phillie and he started the playoffs off with 55 pts? I feel like players get too banged up with all 7 game series which leads to a lackluster finals. What's been great this year though is the intensity on the whole; I don't remember a year where there has been so much drama. If Kobe wins this one, it definitely didn't come easy.

Come on seriously.... held superman to one bucket yes... but thats because Orlando shot like what 8% from the field? Come on man... if Orlando made ANY of there jump shots or threes it would have been a different story.
IM NOT TRYING TO HATE ! Seriously... big ups to L.A for winning game one.. but if Orlando had showed up AT ALL, it would have been a different story. Remember, they make a few threes.... you cant double down on Superman like they were. L.A was basically GIVING them jump shots / threes and doubling down in the key. Get Turk or skip to my lou making any shots and we have a different game.
Edit: and dont tell me it was the stellar L.A defense cause we all know it wasnt... WIDE open jump shots and lay ups being missed !

But you have to realize that the lakers pretty much put it in cruise control after Kobe took over the 3rd quarter. The last 8 minutes of the 3rd and all of the 4th was the lakers on cruise control. They could have EASILY won by 40.
when kobe gets rolling like he did in the 3rd it's scary. No one can stop him. No one. Period. It reminds me of when Jordan would get in the zone. It didn't matter how many hands were in his face the ball would just go in.

I hate the spurs and could care les about the hornets. Didn't watch that one. Warriors coming up over Dallas was huge but it just shows how week some of the play off teams have been in recent years.

8 assists?
Only time he was a ball hog is when he first came back on the floor after that long stay on the bench in the 4th quarter.
When you're feeling it and it's your time to carry your team... like he did in the 3rd I wouldn't call that a ball hog. Lebron does that more than Kobe does... do you call him a ball hog when he get 10 assists but takes 38 shots?

gonna be hate for KB no matter what he does....or doesn't.
::
but any REAL hoops fan knows 40 + 8 + 8 = DOIN WORK!
::
he did carried away bit coming back into the game during late 3rd, but he did right by coming out blazing outa the gate & setting tone for the other guys, esp the young bucks who never have been in the postion or have very little experience playing for title. we def need the WHOLE squad to keep playing hard+contribute to get this thing done tho! can't wait until Sunday!

man, washed my ride+the outside of the casa & vacuumed the garages.....changed my oil+tranny & diff fluids LATE last night too. needless to say, i was DOIN WORK! lol
now let's see if the Lake Show can do the same and play another great game! we can't expect the Magic to struggle again, but if we keep playing HARD+CONSISTENT like we've been, it really won't matter how the Magic play!

we started off well on D, but Lamar has to clamp down on Shard. dude's going NUTS....way too many wide open looks from beyond the arc. our offense is too stagnant as well. we're not being aggressive and settling for too many J's. go back to inside-outside! the pietrus+one of their other starters (forget which) have 3 fouls! go to the cup STRONG or kick out for spot up J's!
KB has to assert himself a lil more. i know PJ doesn't want him to do too much and risk taking the rest of the squad out of rhythm, but we had a perfect chance to go up double-digits! everyone except shard was struggling...can't expect that to continue! KB, be more Mamba-like!
this is a super low scoring game, which favors us cuz we're a better half court squad, but we can't let the Magic hang around and have a shot at stealing the game at the end! Pick it up, fellas!

WHEW! not our best game at all, but our experience & composure helped us get the job done! our vets, D-Fish, Pau, KB, & Lamar really stepped up late in the 4th & overtime!
our only slip-ups were giving Shard waaaay too many good looks, & our overall wasn't as good or consistent. we gotta focus defending out of bounds plays. we really F'd up on that alley-oop to Lee in regulation, and no way should've Lamar given Shard so much room on that trey in OT.
KB had an off+ sloppy game, but that pull-up J in OT was CLUTCH! so was that dime to Pau for the and 1. props to Lamar for a good offensive game & $$ FTs to ice it!
we got 2, but we just did what we're supposed to...protect homecourt. Orlando's just as good at their pad, so we gotta stay sharp and get AT LEAST 1 out the 3 there!

out to invade the Magic Kingdom tonight! ORL's backed into a corner like a rabid dog, so the Lake Show better not ease up or we're gonna get bit!
