yeh, would be interesting if Shaq can stay on the floor....still have love for The Big Kazaam, but he's 37 and fading fast. Cavs still need a scoring PF too, and bench ain't that great.

don't count out the Magic in the East too.....
::
More Breaking News....
::
Magic in talks w/Nets to get Vinsanity+Cal product, Ryan Anderson for Rafer Alston+Tony Battie+Courtney Lee!
VC's not the same dude either, but pair him w/Superman, and they could do some damage! Guess Hedo's as good as gone+still wants to get shown the $$$ in free agency cuz they both play the same position...SG/SF.

Kenny Smith from TNT's Inside the NBA reporting the Amare to "Warriors" trade looks like a done deal....no mention of the other players officially involved in the trade tho. stay tuned....

been hella busy taking care of real life biz.....1 of the toughest AND best times in my life. learned+grew a lot going thru both, and grateful to know that there are still some true, bonafide kind+decent folks in this world!
::
anyways, just starting to catch my breath and get the lowdown on all the current events I missed.....
::
can't believe Trevor Ariza's going to the Rockets. Dude was seriously 1 of the keys to the Lake Show getting back on top this year. I'm/We're gonna miss his energy, enthusiasm, & hard hat mentality, but I wish him well and will keep following his progress. Keep grindin, Trevor! You have the tools to really make your mark in the L!
::
a lil less surprising than Trevor's exit is Artest joining our camp. it's gonna be interesting to see how he gels w/KB+Pau+Bynum+Lamar getting top billing, but if anyone can help keep Ron-Ron in check, it's PJ+KB! we've been needing a guy on the squad to lay the wood and bring a lil nasty for a while. we don't want Mr "Tru Warrier" (or however Ron spells it) to go too OD, but it'll be nice to have the added muscle in our arsenal!
::
i guess last development that i missed is PJ agreeing to come back and lead the troops again. Good to hear his health evaluations came out well. Like w/KB, PJ's at the top of his game and will be sorely missed when he finally says, "No mas," but glad we're gonna get the Zen Master's expert tutelage for at least next season!
::
well, gotta get back to catching myself up on the goings-on of late, but can't wait to see what other moves the Lake Show are gonna make this off season. Watch out, y'all! We ain't content yet, and, best believe, we're gonna come back out cocked+locked+ready to rock again, as we defend our *CHAMPIONSHIP* and try to get another one!

getting Ron Artest is great for the lakers. Getting him vs. Ariza is going to give LA a truly legit chance of winning rings for the next 3 years.
Ariza is an up and coming player, but the question is did he have a nice playoff run or did he really evolve into a better player. Artest is a beast that can defend the 1,2,3 and 4.

well, we lost Trevor, but Lamar FINALLY re-upped! Man, we are gonna be scary good again next season.....just have to stay focused AND healthy! <KNOCK ON WOOD>
::
for real tho, took a while, but never was any real doubt about LO re-signing. he kinda shot himself in the foot by prematurely divulging his desire to stay in The Purple+Gold....and his willingness to even take a pay cut. he ain't exactly gonna be starving tho. just glad he+the Lake Show brass finally ended their stand-off.
::
can't wait until next season kicks off!

espn reported late last night that assistant coach+LONGtime Lake Show dude (OG member of Showtime), Kurt Rambis is leaving the squad to coach the Minnesota Timberwolves!
::
i dunno how you can go from World Champs......to living in the sticks+captaining a buncha chumps, but congrats+g'luck to him!
::
man, it was great to get Lamar back, but losing Trevor &, now, Kurt is gonna be tough. our core is still intact, & we have the Zen Master running things, so we'll have a good shot at repeating! can't wait to get out there again!

too lazy to find the more official "Warriors" thread. one of you, "We Believers," feel free to move it if you're so inclined.
anyways, just FYI. not a real shock, but get ready for another rollercoaster season.....
http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/s...09-TeamTurmoil
Summer Forecast: Team Turmoil
We've broken down who we think will be the best and worst newcomers in 2009-10. Now it's time to name Team Turmoil -- the squad that could encounter quite a few difficulties this season. (Also, check out the vote for Team Turnaround.)
Here's the voting breakdown:
("Warriors" tied for 1st/Worst w/the Detroit Pistons)
Warriors (8 votes)
There's never a dull moment when Nellie's in charge. Just ask Al Harrington and Jamal Crawford. There's never any defense either. The Warriors will try to outscore opponents with Corey Maggette, Stephen Jackson, Monta Ellis and Stephen Curry on the roster, but they could rack up the losses just as quickly.

Warriors' Jackson 'looking to leave'
Golden State Warriors forward Stephen Jackson says he has requested a trade and prefers to be dealt to the Cleveland Cavaliers or any of the NBA's three teams in Texas.
Jackson's wishes are rooted in a desire to play for a team that consistently makes the postseason, he says, something the Warriors have done only once in the past 15 seasons.
"At this point, I'm 31 years old. I have four or five years left," Jackson told Dime Magazine on Friday. "I want to be in a situation where I can continually be in the playoffs and get another ring. So that's where my mind is at now."
Jackson, speaking to the magazine in New York during a promotional event for a shoe line, said the status of his demand is pending.
"It's not about a decision I made," he told Dime Magazine. "It's just things are in the air right now. I really can't get too much into it right now."
When prompted with a question from the event's host about the Warriors' playoff chances, Jackson, who was attending the event with former teammate Al Harrington, told the crowd: "I don't think I'll be a Warrior next year. I'm looking to leave."
Jackson has averaged 15.4 points over nine seasons with the New Jersey Nets, San Antonio Spurs, Atlanta Hawks, Indiana Pacers and the Warriors.
He scored a career-high 20.7 points per game last season after signing a three-year,
$28 million extension with the Warriors in November.
Jackson said he would be open to returning to the Spurs but would also welcome a trade to the Dallas Mavericks or Houston Rockets.
He also mentioned Harrington's New York Knicks.
"I'm just looking to go somewhere where I can go and win a championship," Jackson said.

Check out where Shannon took off! (& D-Fish's reaction)
I still have<3 for the hometown squad, but sending them down there against KB+Co is like feedling lambs to a pack of hungry wolves!
