You know what I did state my point and agreed the only thing I have to go on is my moral beliefs that homosexuality in my opinion is wrong. It may be narrow minded but its what I believe. I also agree with all of you voting no. It is a human rights issue and gays should have the same rights. Maybe I'm ignorant for this statement but if this is the last lock I have to keep homosexuality in the closet then loose the effin key. Is it fair no but oh well. Sorry. I don't hate gay people for the record. My gay friends know and respect my opinion. I'm sorry I understand they didn't choose to be gay but I'm just not ready to have them frollicking the world and getting married.

I just wish people would come right and say it, instead of coming up with all these lame *** excuses. THE CHURCH YOU BELONG TO HAS TAUGHT YOU THAT HOMOSEXUALITY IS WRONG. Lets face it, underneath it all its a simple dislike of gays PERIOD. WHAT DO YOU CARE if two grown adults choose to marry one another??? I mean seriously, how is this going to affect YOU PERSONALLY. It's NOT ! GET OVER IT
Lets try this excuse. - its a Sacred instution thats going to ruin the sanctity of marriage. BULLCRAP ... whats the divorce rate these days??? 65% ?? How long was Britney Spears married ?? 36 hours?? OH MAN SUPER SACRED bond there. Oh man
Well i don't believe in the teaching of church in general because thats how i was raised, so im going to propose "proposition joe" and ask that you and other individuals BASIC FREE RIGHT of RELIGION be taken away.

On a lighter note... everyone should have the right to be married and be miserable hahaha

With all due respect, that is a joke.

A straight couple is no more likely to raise children better than a gay couple.
whoa where do you get that?? im sure they could raise a child just fine, and be just as trustworthy (for your other comment), its how a child would respond to 2 mommys or 2 daddys. we are a blend of what our parents instill in us, change that and you have people with something missing...think about a stereotypical counseling session where the doc says that the client acts out because of no dad in the picture or mom was an alky (hence, not really there) or WHATEVER...thats gonna be a whole population of ****ed up kids

look, this is obviously snowballing fast...im sure it wont pass, just like we have illegal immigrants that can get loans without ID, and hand out foodstamps to people that own benzes

my point is that just because you vote yes doesnt mean you hate gays and anytime someone stands up for that its just like AA, i must hate black people too...oh wait, i have gay and black friends...holy ****, i must be confused

Here is my stand point.

If gay people wanna get married. MORE POWER TO THEM. As i tell my wife jokingly.

"Let them get married and they will see what we have to suffer through everyday."

Plus, correct me if i am wrong, If you are married without a child you pay more in taxes? so wouldnt that actually help the economy a little bit? I may not be right. I had a child the same year i got married : so i didnt have to experience tax season as only married.

I dont see why they shouldnt be able to get married. I was raised catholic and told it was not right. but now being a grown *** man, who cares. let them get married and be happy. I dont think my son will become gay becuase some people of the same sex got married.

Its all about how you raise your kids. Take responsibility for your own **** you know.

As far as i stand they have my blessing. After a few years they will see it isnt that great and be wishing it wasnt passed. j/k

(if you are reading this i am just kidding honey)

i think if we took the word MARRIAGE out of all this the world could move on to BIGGER ISSUES!

the gov. as no right to deny the union of anyone (human) regardless

separation of church and state! your church or religion or beliefs should have nothing to do with our government!

ive read alot of posts and if i substituted the word gay and homosexual with black it would be disturbing

Nothing wrong with that, im just practicing my statistics

no on 8

So no woman has ever married a man just for his money? Or vice-versa? That is a pretty weak argument....

Its funny you mention that.... because with divorce rate through the roof... and the rate of single mothers out there (my mom is a teacher, so i know in her school atleast, theres probably 30% SINGLE MOMS) OH man thats great influence there too huh. Watching daddy or mommy leave. Come on man seriously ... you think having two moms or two dads is WORSE then growing up with a single parent?

As a student of psychology I can tell you this : there is NO such thing as a 'stereotypical' counseling session. Period.

its how a child would respond to 2 mommys or 2 daddys. we are a blend of what our parents instill in us, change that and you have people with something missing...
Gays have been raising children since the mid 90's and guess what? They are no more ****ed up than you or I are. These children are 'missing' nothing - being a mommy doesn't mean you have to be a woman. Being a 'daddy' doesn't mean you have to be a man.

You care about other so much (just not the gays, apparently) that you are willing to take away their rights?
