subaru couldnt do anything, they didnt even try to diagnose it even though i asked them to and said i would pay. Now my car isnt allowed back because its bad for the company and because they dont deal with swaps and conversions, like it could be stolen or something. whatever
taking the car to GST Motorsports tomorrow to get it programmed, ill keep you guys updated as to what happens

they cant program keys, i already checked, that would be way more convenient too, its not even half the distance
anyways : (
key is programmed, but it still doenst start. i need to go through the immobilizer wiring and check for anything wrong and i also need to check all the grounds.
i'm trying to get a hold of an an 04 sti ecu to check to see if the car will start as well.
However, if this doesnt work and the sti ecu does, ill end up getting one of those and a tune so i can forget about the immobilizer

Dude you're my hero, seriously. I have been looking everywhere for a detailed EJ25 swap. Im planning on doing the same thing with a Brighton Coupe and an STI EJ257 next fall. You seem to have a lot of problem with the wiring, if I were you I would have had LIC do all the electronic. Thats what im going to do. How hard was the engine to retrofit in? I heard you have to modify the crossmember or get one out of a turbo legacy to fit the EJ25 in. You made it look like it went in no problem. Maybe since it is a 2.5 RS it has the same mount. How about the dash? It didnt just bolt up did it? You've just made it look soooo easy it would be awesome to get some details on what the difficult parts are. What all have you had to modify or retrofit? You've given me confidence that this really can be pulled off without a full tuner shop like LIC (minus the wiring). Thanks so much for doing this report and answering all these questions. You're an inspiration to us all.

wow thank you
crossmember bolted right up no problems. dash was kindof a *****, took awhile to fit in, and still, it doesnt really fit right. if you plan on doing the dash as well, you will have to do some drilling/cutting in the firewall for the heater core. that was only thing that took some modifiying. you will have to do some drilling and tapping to mount some engine bay parts for the sti, but not much modification was needed
let me know if there is anything else i can help you with. I've been learning along the way, so there is still a lot of things i dont know.
damn i really want this thing on the road
