well i sure hope the problem isnt the ecu. using this ecu will bypass the immobilizer to start the key that i will know if its the immobilizer thats messing with me or that its something engine/wiring to the engine thats wrong
Dammit are you going to get an 04 ecu and try it or what?

megasquirt on a subaru....is stupid hard work. I researched it for my project, but in the end, cut a little over 1/2 of the harness out. ~20something lbs.

Sorting out the issue at hand will most likely be easier.

Or, converting to a cable throttle-body and 02-03 ecu with AP... which...will cost a bit, and might cause you to have to rework your harness.

ya, if u look at a wiring diagram it will show ur wire and where they lead too.. i have had to do this on a chevy truck before... found out that the ground wire had a short so the ecu would allow the engine to crank, but not fire!

well it looks cool right now, but its not starting.

ill look into the ground later. that would be nice if that was the case

my dad is convincing me to get an auto electrician to take a look at it and figure it out, which might not be a bad idea except the money part

well... use alldata or something like that.. and get a wiring diagram of the connection to ur ecu, and a connector diagram of ur connector to the ecu, and then probe the ground and power wires!
