That was one thing I wish I had in Hawaii growing up too. Maybe someday when I'm rich I can buy the Eva Beach airstrip and turn it into a track!
In the mean time, I haven't updated this thread since the last track day.
I won my Time Attack class!
Here's a blog about the event
http://www.nasaaz.com/uncategorized/...vent-wraps-up/
Car ran great, no rubbing to speak of. Excited to finally be moving, looking forward to cooler temps, It's already been over 100* F here in AZ, it's still around 69* F in San Diego!
Here's a few pictures from the event.
I'm now in DE4, but I didn't feel like changing my '305' numbers. Until I get more power

Still have a busy summer ahead of me, so I don't know what I'm going to do for track time, I may start hitting up some car shows to get some publicity and hopefully help with the sponsorship path I'll need if I'm going to compete with the big boys.
I'm planning on getting my Racing License some time either late this year or early next year, depending on what's going on with my Family and work. I'd like to finish of the interior a little more, and possibly add some more safety equipment.
I still need to spend some more time looking over what all is needed in a 'Race' car to pass tech. I'd like to keep this car streetable, so I don't want to go too crazy with it and not be able to enjoy it on the backroads or beer runs.

Thank you sir, and next I'm coming after you cone dancers!
Thank you, and Thank you.
AS for the fishing........

STILL working on it.

The boat is turning into the money pit..... now it has two new transmissions, all four turbos are rebuilt (The 2 mains are twin-turbo'd & supercharged V8's ) Pulled it outta the water at the drydocks and I sanded the props (twin 34" IIRC) and the Prop shafts While I had the Locals repaint the bottom of the boat. (Only cost $100 to have them do it.)
Once it's running it will run for the next couple of decades, but man....what a load of work. Doing it right while everything is out to make sure there's no short cuts taken. The other week I had to tape up and prep the bootstripe, which was a huge PITA as well.
It's back in the water now, We're in the middle of replacing all the carpet and the wall paper. We're also replacing the Fridge, hooking up a new flat screen, and getting it to work with the boat stereo system. Should be a nice modern update to the boat. Looking forward to getting it back in buisness!
I'll pm you ASAP too!
Thanks for understanding.
she's getting so big now. super sweet but also very demanding and bossy.
Put things in perspective, that's for sure. I find that I've started to develop some thick-skin and don't let things affect me the way I used to when I was younger and single. Funny how time changes things. At least I still love my Subaru's too!

I hope to always have some sort of GC in my stable.
Going to 3rd annual SD Classic Subi meet on the 30th.

Should be a good time. Planning on getting new tires soon, and also need to get some new brake pads, my current set has seen better days.
Also going to have my buddy Adam help me with the AVCS; I haven't been able to get 30 Min's alone with the Subi to work since I moved. There's still so much little work that needs to be done around the house. It's ridiculous.
But the weather's is great, much better than AZ.

The Subaru meet was a blast, I met a bunch of cool locals and saw dozens of great rides. Here's some pictures from the event:

We finally have some new help on the Boat, so that should be buttoned up in the next month or so.....
As far as the Subi, I have a new set of front pads on the way; but they're on their way to AZ.
Lets see if the USPS can forward anything anymore. Once they get here I'll pad-slap the brakes and flush the fluid again with some Motul RBF 600. I still have a couple bottles, might as well use it.
Working on some little accent touches, like the steering wheel.

and rear-view mirror

and a few little things under the hood

I still need to get a new set of tires & save up for some Do-luck sideskirts.
Also going to replace the Sparkplugs; another set of NGK iridiums.
Should have the AVCS fixed some time after Halloween. I don't want to mess with it until I can re-tune it on a dyno; which hopefully will be around thanksgiving time. Also Planning on possibly do a few legs of the Modball Rally, looks like it might be fun.
After the power is back to where it should be, I'll turn my attention back to the interior

Need to make some door cards, get a couple more gauges. Thinking Stack 52mm Water temp & Oil temp. And maybe an AEM wideband O2 sensor/gauge.
Anyone have any ideas if it's a worthy unit? seems to be priced fair.
I also need to replace the interior door handles and a couple vents.
Had a spare moment to snap a couple quick pictures of my car in the driveway. The truck was dirty so I didn't bother to turn it around.

I didn't check the memory card so I filled it up after a few shots. better luck next time, I guess.
My Baby girl is getting big too, crazy how much they grow day to day.
Gonna be Two in the next couple weeks......damn. time flies.
I'll get the rest of the pictures posted soon, Photobucket is being temperamental.

I replaced the front brake pads last weekend and flushed the brakes again, Pedal is nice and firm again.
I also replaced the spark plugs, the old ones were a little loose I found upon removal and were causing an occasional misfire.
Runs and idles much smoother now, looking forward to the re-tune soon.
Installed a C-west CF MAF cover to protect it from the elements , It's light & think it looks cool; You can see it through the 22b vent

I was bored and slapped a few spare STI & Prodrive stickers I had lying around in different places around the car. They were extras from the wheels and fog covers. I took some quick pictures, sorry for the poor quality.

Prodrive on the rear........

STI on the rear of the seats.......

And a Prodrive on the center of the front lip

Going to test fit some wider 18X9" wheels, possibly going to try out staggered fitment. I'm planning to relocate the rear bumper mounts in the wheel well for more tire clearance; maybe test out some 245/35/18's. I'll see what I can do with some cheapo wheels before I spend more money on some nice wheels.
I think the Coilovers may be in need of a rebuild too, going to drive up to Tein and see if they can check them out and maybe change to valving while they're at it.

Thanks!
I'm now on the fine line of keeping it nice and not too rice.
Otherwise you get comments like this guy....

Well, I haven't gotten pictures of that yet, one of these days.
I just took some time to check the belts, the timing belt is still in great shape.
Trying to figure out exactly what my next steps are going to be. I would like more grip, which would mean wider tires.
But then that adds weight.
So to compensate for the future increase in rotational weight, I've decided the next thing to go on a diet, (Other than me, I've dropped 20 lbs since the move!
) Is the drivetrain. been looking at all the options, and damn if none of them are going to be cheap, but I figure if I spend the money right, it's only going to have to be spent once.
A few future part goals of mine:
CF Driveshaft

Lightweight pulleys (Alt. & Crank; Not gonna mess with the PS)

Better Acc. belt

Uprated Coilpacks

Also going to replace the front Control arm bushings with stiffer bushings.

Already have the Alt. pulley, front control arm bushings, a pair of harness pads for the Pass. seat, and a better Acc. belt on order. Going to piece the rest of the items as I can afford them.
Also planning on going with a twin-disc clutch in the future to shed a few more lbs. off the drivetrain once a new clutch is required.
Been busy cutting down a bunch of trees in the backyard, haven't had much in the way of free time. Once I get some I'm going to try and get some pictures around my new backroads.
