Thanks!
Anyone know what this flag says?

I decided to rock a few of my Modball stickers for a little while

chillin' in the 'Man-cave'

Didn't really know if I or how I should post this, but my Step-father, Fred; A Man I proudly called 'Dad' since before I can remember, (over 25 years) Died Nov. 10th @ 1:30am at home in his bed. He'd been battling stomach Cancer for the better part of 8 years, and contracted a bad case of pneumonia last month. He would have been 75 years old Dec. 19th.
I took this shot at Violets' 2nd Birthday Oct. 2nd

As you can see, he was in good spirits right up to the end; I went to the Hospital the day before he passed, and had a chance to say good-bye before they release him for Hospice and my Mom took him home.
Needless to say, I'm really sad about the whole thing, and the Subi is kinda going on the back burner for a little while so I can make sure my Mom is gonna be okay.
Took my Mom and some of the Family to the San Diego Zoo on Friday; it was a madhouse, but a lot of fun.

She liked the meerkats

She warmed up to the goats after a little bit!
Turtle shell was super slippery,

but we finally managed a good shot!

I have to figure out this week if I'm going to keep the Subi with AZ tags or try and get Cali plates. Going to see if I can get it Smog'd on Monday. if not, quick road trip to AZ should take care of everything for a lil' bit.

Sorry to hear about your step-father's passing. I would imagine it would be very difficult for the kids as well.
It looks as if you and the kids had a great time at the SD Zoo. I haven't been to San Diego, nor the zoo, in at least 20 years. You are very lucky to have such a wonderful family.

James' test drive....
I met John at the Classic Subaru Meet back in Aug.'09. A very down to earth and chill guy, John recently moved out to Del Mar, CA and just so happens we're neighbors now. I've been getting to know John better over the past few months and earned enough of his trust to where he let me drive his Impreza. Having seen his car on the forums over the past few years I felt it was a real privilege that he let me drive this infamous beast of lore. I think the fact that I also drive a swapped coupe helped
I was used to driving with low mounted racing seats in the past with my car but it had been a while since I swapped them out for JDM seats, and even then I used to drive on the street with my OEM seatbelts. Not the case in John's car. A set of 4 pt harnesses is what's needed to stay strapped into this car. Turn the key and it burbles to life in just 2 or 3 turns of the crank and settles into a smooth SR20'ish idle. It's at that point where conversations become difficult and we havent even left yet! I first noticed the difference in the feel of the shifter, his being a JDM 6-speed vs my JDM 5-speed. Much tighter feel and engagement is positive with shorter throws whereas mine has a lot more slop. Needless to say I'm jealous! So we get rolling and I immediately notice the difference in how John's JDM ver.8 motor acts in the low revs vs, my USDM STI motor. The low end torque of the USDM isnt as apparent in the JDM 207. (not that I missed it at all) The noise at mid revs partial throttle are almost unbearable and I look over to see John's got his earplugs in listening to his I pod since there's no Radio. John should really invest in a Peltor Intercom System if he plans on taking out his lady in this beast! Seeing out of the WRC style mirrors added to my nervousness especially when merging onto the freeway. All that was laid to rest though as I dropped her to 4th gear and pinned the Go-Pedal. The sound of the JDM 207 at WOT is similar to that of a screaming Banzai charge as it can literally put the fear of God into you! The tach needle seems to take forever to reach 8k redline but unlike the USDM power band it seems to continuously pull with greater might the closer you get to redline. Handling of the car is nothing short of amazing seeing as his chassis has been sorted with all the goods. I cant say I pulled any major Lateral G's in my little drive but in all, this car is a truly thoroughbred built for total annihilation both on the track and on your senses!

I need to improve my video editing and commentary skills, but it takes time.
These are the wheels I've decided will be my next 'Street' wheels.
They don't offer any wider wheel options in a GC friendly offset for 5x100.
Prodrive GC-05k Hyper silver 18X8"

But it should be good enough on the street. Then the current wheels (GC-05f) will become track wheels and get some R-comps mounted to them.

Once I go full wide-body, I may get some wider, 18X9-9.5" with 255 or 265 tires for the track.
Then I'll upgrade the turbo to the HKS GT2835 twin-scroll and try and get 400 WHP outta the EJ207.
I think the GC-05k's are a little lighter than my current wheels, and I think they're gonna look great on my car.
I just have to figure out where to get them from.....

Those GC-05K's would look so good in a wide width and even a fairly aggressive offset....hmmmmmm...perhaps you should wait to buy a set until you have wide enough fenders to do 9.5"s? I suppose that's just my imagination at work though, as I can picture a concave set of those on your car just looking perfect.

managed to get some garage time early on my B-day, so we got some work done.....finally
Here's the progress pictures

]]
the real reason Mr. Bill had to be moved.....

My improved EDFC location

laptop pluged in and reading all good!!!

Now just waiting to get the dash flocked and re-install it......

And the cake deal.....

had a great party, didn't get to get invites out really because I recently replaced my phone and lost all my numbers.
And we were in AZ the week before dropping off some of the kids stuff at their father's house, so we grabbed a room at the phoenician, pretty nice place;
fun waterslide and nice poolside bar

I prefer my shower at home though,

And we finally have the boat operational, went down off of mexico and caught a few fish

Working on the flyers and getting the website up and running but if anyone knows anyone that likes to charter 6-pack fishing trips out of SD; hit me up!
