hit 1.28 G's braking as my max, & I finally held 1.2 Lateral G's in the corners as well, still need to work the left rear fender some and raise it before the next event, should be able to see some improvements, the tire rubbing was killing my confidence and I didn't push it too hard. I want it all ready to go for the night event in April at Firebird.
Here's a video one of my buddies shot, can't see much, but you can hear the engine pretty good and you can here the tire rubbing the fender. lol

I'm wise enough to know that I still have a lot to learn!
The one thing I was pretty proud that other than for torque specs, I put the whole damn thing together without a manual, but I've done it enough times already, so....
There's a couple bolts that I'd like to replace because the bolt heads are a little different, but it's just nit picky uber minor cosmetic stuff. Still holding together strong, and running like a bull.
I don't mind sharing what I've learned though, so feel free to ask any questions.
Found a few more photos,
Oh, I see you camera man!

2nd time around after I noticed the camera there,
Check this out!

Little tire smoke into the corner, Gotta love no ABS, makes for a good show!
I'm sure I'll have a few more before the next track day.
We installed a 25mm Cobb rear sway on my nephews' STI, only to find out when he got his tires not too long ago, they installed 3 225/45/17's, and one 245/45/17, the wrong damn tire! No wonder the damn thing was driving funny!
It's been to the dealership twice, and 2 different performance shops, and they failed to notice it either. Don't know how I managed to over look that though, I guess since it's not my car and I don't really drive it, I wasn't really checking everything over. It's the same type of tire, just different sizes.

So I didn't really get a chance to update my last post, Been ridiculously busy getting everything sorted out for the big move this summer. I tried rolling the fender a little more (the left rear fender), but it's STILL rubbing in hard corners, it's really frustrating. But I attacked the fender again on Sunday, hopefully it's gone, I'm gonna test drive it sometime this week and see if it still rubs.
Also 're-badged' the Subi; I was getting a little tired of explaining to people what it is.
I think the red 'RS' badge goes nicely with the red brakes & tow hook. I also tossed a chrome 'STI' badge in the front grill. Trying to give it a little more, 'character'.
Had a night event this past Saturday, was a big event, tied into the Modified tuner shootout. Great crowd for such poor weather, long day, but a lot of fun.
I entered the Time Attack with hopes of possibly qualifying for the Super Lap battle this year if I made a good time, but I don't think I made it this year. Track was cold and wet, I didn't get the tires up to temp on the warm up lap; My brake fluid was getting a little worse for wear and wasn't performing the way I'd like it too (Currently running super blue; upgrading to Motul 600) It was raining all through the night before the event, and also rained through out the day. Add to that the tire rubbing and it made for an intense run, I'll get it sorted out before the next event, for sure.
I know I could have shave 4-5 seconds at least if I had pushed it harder, but I didn't want to make a costly mistake and not have a ride home. I saw at least a dozen cars spin or go off track through out the day, a few right in front of me. Made for an exciting time; watching High HP car with crazy LSD's in the rain made for some intense moments, to say the least.
It get's more and more difficult to find time to work on the Subi the older my daughter gets, but it's a lot of fun being a dad. 18 months and counting!
here's some pictures from the event.

Me Chillin' at the staring grid, ready to tear up the track!

Drifters were out in force
So were the gogo dancers

Yup, it's a Veyron. Big ol' sum b!tch!

GST did very well

Mr. Bill glad to make it back in one piece!
'Camp Subi'

Two of the greatest things at the track......R-comps & Beer!
I'll post more pictures as I find them, I didn't bring a camera since it was raining.

I already got the Motul, got a 50% off deal I couldn't pass up, it was only $15 for 2 bottles; Castrol is about 5 times as expensive. I'll probably upgrade to the Castrol after I move and get a new job. No point in spending all that $$$ when I'm only gonna use the Subi a few times in the next few months.
(Remember, I'm currently between jobs, so Money in getting spread thinner each week) Found someone behind me had some video, so here's a video clip from the first or second session of the day, with a time line of events
http://www.vimeo.com/4128567
0-:30 sec - Checkin out my rear-end on Grid
:30 sec - 1:10 - driving through the hot pits
1:10 - 4:20 - enter track, warming up brakes, and two warm-up laps
(2:58) Stupid Vette driver making illegal pass on standing dbl. yellow flag,

5:49 - Let Redneck Vettes pass so they could, 'battle it out'

6:42 starting to open it up a little more
7:10 Flubbed a shift

7:50 BYE-BYE camera car!

13:10 Yellow flag, Evo blew off intercooler hose
I tend to drive a little more conservative last couple events since I can't afford to replace my tires until after the summer.

P.S. I laughed so hard at how crazy fast that red Honda CRX was, that passed the chase camera car after you began ditching him past 8min mark.

That CRX is quick in the corners, and it has a motor swap as well. It can't keep up on the straights though.. I think I lapped him in the second session that day. That video was taken on the first session of the day. You can't see in the video, but there was still a few spots on the track with some standing water, mostly near the curbing in the corners.
It's been really hot here the past couple days, but I'm gonna try and get back under the left rear fender well and see where it's rubbing. I'm going to adjust the ride height (AGAIN) and get another alignment, hopefully I'll get it fixed this time around.
Also going to flush the brakes, see how the Motul handles a little track abuse.
Running in DE4 Sat. & Sun; Also the Time Attack which of course is the last run, on the last day. I hope I can keep my tires in one piece.
I had a rock chip develop into a crack this past weekend, So I had the windshield replaced. I had them run a different window seal; this one runs around 3 side.
Looks much cleaner to me.

Also took some desert shots with my nephew. I'll be moving in less than 2 months, figure I'd get some desert and rolling shot before it gets too hot.

Four peaks in the background

And My Baby girl is getting bigger and cuter everyday!

I'll keep you all posted, as always!
