Seriously WTF have you been putting in your motor? I've seen a ton of these motors taken apart. I've never seen so much sludge in heads.

I used M1 for 45k and Redline Race for 8k. If you ask me it was the M1 and high rpm driving. I ALWAYS changed my motor oil every 3k or before. So IDK but it is nasty shizzle in there.

I drove hard, I know that. The motor lived between 4500-7k. I did drive it daily to work though, and that was about 2 miles until I moved and it became 7-8 each way and I went home for lunch pretty regularly.

STiylin get a can of seafoam. It should break most of that up. Don't run it in your engine. Put it in a spray bottle and let it soak.

WHere do you want to remove carbon? The carbon on the piston tops is harmless. As a matter of fact it tends to works itself out with changed in cylinder temp. The seafoam will break the carbon apart. Are you going to remove the pistons? If you take the pistons out to change the rings, seafoam will work wonders to remove the carbon and the oil varnish. I wouldn't use it on a running motor but for cleaning tough carbon and varnish it'll work great.

Side note: DOn't try to remove the carbon from the piston top if the are still in the block. It's very abrasive and may works it's way into the ring lands.
