Official Mt.Madonna Thread!
needs to be tuned and tuned-up thinking about hitting up EQ in December and throwing on a DP, they're giving 20% off all maintenance work so if something does come up at least there is that benefit. I should be making more than a stock sti I think. Supposedly (according to previous owner).
EJ25 shortblock(I can actually see the imprint on the block)
VF39 Turbo(havnt bothered taking off the heatshield to view the id)
STI TMIC(can see that duh ha)
WALBRO Pump(Its loud so im assuming)
which leaves me to assume that the injectors are aftermarket or at least not Blues. is there a way to visually see the injectors without taking off too many things?

And that map is a stock turbo and pink injectors. No way that combo would ever make more than an STi.

220hp and 295ft/lbs is not more than an STI. A stock STi is said to be at 300 on the motor. Figure power loss, that puts it closer to 265 at the wheels, probably a little more than that.

You're basically saying you have the same turbo and motor as an STI with more restrictive heads but making more power. Not gonna happen. Can you make more power than an STI. Sure. But not with that set up.

That's LOW!
Usually the average/low ones are 235-245 and the high ones are 265.
Seems to me the "ave" was always in the 240's.
Here's one at 258 and I spent literally 5 seconds on google.

Not that it matters.
I could search dynos all day to prove to myself that my car has more power than an sti and I"m sure I could find an sti low enough that it's true. Hell that one at 220 is probably pretty close. LOL.

I don't remember what dyno Vishnu had back in the day, but stock WRX's were putting down 191 and rated at 227 on the motor. So for the STi's to advertise 300 and only put 220, there seems to be some discrepancy.

do you have a dyno graph for your car? I'm curious.
Being at 220hp and nearly 300 tq seems odd to me. Seems like to get that high in the torque values it should be more like 250-260hp.
with a few more parts and a decent tune you can put down a lot more than a stock sti.
But unless you have a really aggressive tune and your numbers are over 220 you just don't.
