Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

2.0i is non turbo 2 liter engine 92kW
2.0R is non turbo 2 liter engine 118kW and its twin cam
WRX is 2.5 liter 169kW (turbo)
STI is 2.5 liter 206kW (turbo)

we do have restrictions for stock, but a lot of the aftermarket WRXs and STIs range between 300-600kW

i just installed 8000k HIDs today on the car, makes the car look very good, highly recommended aesthetics upgrade!!

okay,.. umm,.. i'm kinda confused with the metric system n' stuff. but from what i heard about the 2.0 r is that its pushing about 190hp? but a little less torque than our 2.5i.

hey 2k6,.. idk if i asked this before but did you notice any improvements in fuel economy with the intake on?

fuel economy went WAY DOWN, but thats just its more fun to drive hard now. honestly, if i drove it like i should be, i would actually be getting much better milage.

thats good to know.. because supposedly intakes give better mileage but since it gives lots of power.. why not push the pedal. Too bad the tracks here closed down.

btw, have any of you folks considered having one of them MSD ignition stuff. I heard that if you put in some iridium spark plugs and have that MSD thing, you'd get more power and better gas mileage because it amplifies the spark,.. thus having the fuel combust stronger and giving off more power..

idk,.. just wondering if any of you guys know more about this.

Yeah ive been wanting to get the PP6. After seeing what a good tune did to my buddies sti (-from 300 at crank to about 360). I talked to some people about it and if your on a stock 2.5i the pp6 is supposed to help you break 200 at crank. plus exhaust, intake and crank pulley and you could be seeing an easy 215at crank, thats almost WRX which is 230.

im actually looking to see if there is any work i can do with cams, and engine internals? anyone know if they make parts like that fo our ej253 block or only for the ej255 turbo block?

im sure if u do extensive work like that theyll just recomend u put in the wrx block...i was thinkin about rebuildin the engine and puttin a turbo on, frount mount, ect. but that will be a couple years in the future when the parts are available everywhere and its cheaper...good news to hear on the pp6...that def makes me wanna drop that in there a lot more now that u said that...i would love do break the 230 hp mark sometime just to be at the wrx's level. most likely ill start with the weapon r, then pp6 and cat back
