sounds like its just a clear coat scratch. use some scratch remover like meguiars scratch-x. take some of that stuff, put it on a cotton cloth and just rub the crap out of it. if it doesnt help i'd say go with what timmer said. try polishing it out, touch it up where you need to. if it comes out badly go to a shop.

man your cars lookin really clean j. i wish i had the ***** to bake my headlights so i could clear corner and maybe paint the housing too >.< but hey j hows the pulley feelin? cause i was really interested in that.
vinzie didnt get to painting my brakes =/ i decided to save the money for my intake. ive decided to get the injen intake for the 2005 rs. but before i go into i wanted to double check with you guys, the 2.5rs intake IS compatible with our 2.5i right? everythin except for the intake having an extra hose?

i didnt bake my headlights :P
I had 2 buddies who had equipment and had done this before, so i got them to help me out.
btw, are there any short rams available for our 2.5i's? I'm leaning towards a short ram intake, rather than a CAI.

yeah j i would just go for the injen intake. i was really close to getting the weapon R short ram til i found the injen intake. the injen cai is about 10 bucks less but it can convert to either CAI or short ram and its a well known brand rather than the weapon R

Hey j-chow... did you install the pulley by yourself. Any improvesments in power? fuel economy?
My friends said you have to overhaul the engine to put the pulley in since its like cramped.. Lovin' the head lights... I want to do that but maybe i'll just put a tint..
For the intake issues,.. so.. you can put in a cold air intake right,.. but there won't be any bypass valve since AEM only makes that.

I got my friend to help me install the pulley. Yes, you'd need to overhaul the engine since there is very little space to play with. Power wise, no improvements.
Revving there is. You'll notice that the rev's are more responsive and the revs drop a lot quicker (less lag). Fuel economy wise, there's no improvements. I picked up the pulley for cheap, so it was a quick and inexpensive mod.

Are you talking about the crank pulley? I replaced mine with the unorthadox and it was cake, removed the belt covers, losened 4 bolts and removed the main bolt holding the pully on (tho not in that order) the only trick was getting the pully to break lose after the main bolt was removed, but a rubber mallet and alittle care took care of that.

How did you loosen the bolt on the crank without turning the engine? i stoped at that point cus i didnt want to crank start the engine and lose and arm.
ps weapon R is selling a SR intake on rallitek.com about 250
help me out with that crank though.
also my buddie is about to tune his sti with a cobb access port. can we use those for the 2.5i. all i need to do is download an NA fuel/air map for the 2.5i onto the cobb AP right?

Just put the car into gear, and went at it. i could feel the engine starting to turn but the bolt "broke" before it actually did. got the same loss turning feeling while torqueing it back into place, but again, it didn't actually get to the point that it would turn over. I've got the 5 speed so i don't know if there is a compression ratio deffernce that might apply or not (if anyone trying trying this even has a 4 speed)

just wondering,.. would it be possible to reach 200bhp with a CAI, camshafts, pulley, and cat back w/ our cars? All I know is that we have el headers.
if not,.. what would?
and... would it be safe for a 4EAT.
