Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

also on the page with the video of my ride is another video of my friends STI. We spent the day working on his ride, new up pipe, down pipe, turbo back exhaust, new intake, cobb AP to tune it all just right. This sounds SO BAD, estimated to be pullin about 365hp on 100 oct.

i know its not the right thread but i figured if your on that page you might as well hear that thing.

very nice!
New sway bars will be like 'sex', especially the rear one. Guaranteed.
Try getting one that's 20mm or above. The handling WILL improve no doubt.
Getting coilovers or springs / struts combo?

Btw, i was just wondering whats everyone's gas mileage on a full tank. I'm getting like 350 if i do a lot of highway driving and about 250 in city/highway. I know location and driving style affects mileage so i guess it varies.

I thought they only gave us one engine to work on. the 2.5i, its an EJ253.
So if you have an 06 impreza, this intake WILL fit. ,

MORE GOODIES.

I installed the J-Spec Strut tower brace yesterday. Right away i notice improvements. It still leans a bit, BUT DOESNT TWIST. both of the front wheels react the same going into a turn. much better handeling in the canyons, except the rear tends to swing out a bit more now. DRIFT anyone?

PICS AND WRITE UP------------------

OK it came in a few different parts.
The bar
two strut tower brackets
and two joining bolts.

*turn steering forward and throw car in gear, and apply Ebrake.
*using a 12mm socket un bolt the nuts on the strut towers.
HOLD ON TO EM
*you will want to join the three pieces of the brace now.
firs postion them on the car so you bolt the right sides correctly.
*Next slip the right one on first. bolt it down enough so it wont slip off, LEAVE SOME SLACK.
*the bar is actually shorter then the distance between struts. You need to "stretch it a bit, to get it to fit over the other strut. This is to pre-load your suspension, allows for a much tighter feel.
*you will notice that there is an aluminum hose running across the back of the engine bay. SLOWELY bend it forward. PLEASE, dont break it, I wont be responsible. SLOWELY bend it enough forward to leave clearance for the strut bar.
*TIghten ALL nuts down very well. These will not only be supporting the suspension parts, but now each otther as well since both strut towers are now ONE.

Once all are tight, you are basically done.

The only problem is that our sensor is built on the engine next to the throttle body. So the hole on the intake needs to be covered as we have no adaptor to attach it to. Also, you should have a 'boost sensor' currently on your stock intake, this gives you extra 8HP at certain RPMs, therefore a hole needs to be drilled into the weapon r intake so the boost sensor can be installed.

Where did you get your one form.
Did you lose any power at the bottom end.
Do you have a picture of where the boost sensor goes.
