I don't really care about people stretching tires, I just hate how it makes the tire look like spheres so it looks as if one was driving on those big workout ***** as tires haha

Its pretty hard dude i daily mine 20k+ miles a year on stretched 225/40's. Ive hit some pretty crazy **** and ive always been good. Its all about tire pressure if your stretching them, i keep mine around 40-45psi....but then again **** happens if your not careful. Just gotta realize that a stretched tire on a subaru isnt going to be performance orientated so personally i wouldnt track it. But for daily driving and some fun here and there. Youll be good, got nothing to worry about

Good to know and just to clarify on what I said earlier, I dont charge people to help them out but I hate doing work for them while they're not learning or helping out.

That also varies and depends on the type of tire one is running, and the rubber properties such as thick side wall, good or bad rubber compound...... etc. Theres a lot of factors into play. And since a lot of stretch is paired with ****ty tires... I highly doubt its consistent throughout conditions.

very true...but again s**t happens. You can say that with any tire, you just dont know until something goes wrong. Ive always ran cheapy tires on my stretched wheels for the last 3 years, me and rob go through the same distributor. Never had one problem. Its just not worth putting money into my tire with so much camber, they'll last me a year and a half and im fine with that.

Only if its a 17 inch tire on a 18 inch rim. Then you would be all set.

I remember back in the day when GM had 16.5 x 8.5 inch wheels. Course at the time I didnt know better. But it sure was fun watching the tire guys fit 285/30/16 tires on them. Took like 3 of them to do it.

Was not till way after high school did I find out that those were 16.5 and its really dangerous to do what I did. God protected the stupid that day and well everytime I drove it. This was way back in the day before 8 lug was cool. We had to run steel wheels back then. About the time most of you were born. hahaha.. 1985-86

That is the same here. I always like to help out till it becomes an expectation and well no one bothers to check with me before hand. Just show up and what not. Even worse that I have been in and out of the hospitals this year. Already twice this week alone. And they still want me to help them.

Back in the old days I'd throw mr2 days at the house and we would all get together and build stuff. BBQ and Beer, I'd be helping to do a clutch and others would be doing fender rolling. It was like twice a month and everyone pitched in to help. I see more and more now days people just expect ****. Then when you say sorry they get all pissy.

I do miss those mr2 days. I hope we can have something like that here in the future.
