Tire Stretch Opinions?

for example i did not vote for your car everysingle time it appeared on nasioc's top scoob because of the stretch
haha okay i gotta end the sarcasm. Shagon your car is so sick, and in general i think if the car is lowered properly then it can pull off a slight stretch. but then of course there are cars that take it too far, i think the line is drawn when the tire doesnt even get seated properly and all you see is lip. At that point why not spend some more time in rolling the fenders or throw some more camber in to make it fit, or do what Shagon did and get some flares put on. Andthe same goes with meaty tires, there are some that take it too far and it just looks stupid. Not to mention I have seem some people put too wide of a tire on a wheel and it just balloons, no way that is safe either. Each person has their own style. why not just appreciate the work that goes into it

Tire fitment is a weird science...
I thought I would be all good with 235 tires on my 8" wheels. I did some research and found that 8" is the minimum width for the particular tires I got. But low and behold, after everything is all mounted up, the tires look stretched. Nothing insane mind you, but if I get too close to a curb, the wheel is going to make contact before the tire.
I wish I had some decent tire pics. But even with the widest tire that I could put on my wheels, the set-up still looks stretched.
What gives?
