Hellaflush Tire Stretch Specialists!
My Work Meisters come in this week or next so its time to change the car from function to useless for the summertime...lol
I'm not sure what tire to run, the wheels are 18x10 and I am set on running 245/35 tire.
Either looking at the useless Nankang NS-II tires 245/35 for $400 for the set or the still useless but not as useless Hankook Ventus V12 for $160 a tire...any other tire brands are encouraged. I know a lot of people stretch 225/40 Nankangs on the 10s but ive yet to see 245 stretched and even how good of a stretch it is. So lmk you hellaflush folk what you recommend!
Negative comments can go right back up your A$$ where they came from!

Why not a little bit wider tire? 245 should not look "as stretched" at 225 that's for sure. Kudos to you for not going that route. Car is going to look killer on some 18X10's

245 on a 10 will have barely a stretch. if you want the "hellaflush" you should run 225. I had 215s on a 17x9 and the lip was already poppin out..
back in my 240sx days.i ran a 245 on 9.5 and it wasn't stretched at all. I was on Dunlop Star Specs.. for your setup.. i think the Hankooks would be a better tire. The side walls are harder.
post pics when you got it done...

I've done 225 on a 9.5 and a 10 and hate the way the car feels, id feel much safer and wouldnt worry as much about messing up 4k wheels with a 245 tire or even a 235. im leaning towards the v12 but not sure if its worth so much extra

245s on my 8.5's were barely making it to FLAT sidewalls. 235's had an obvious look of stretch.

I dont see why there would be issues running a 265/35 if its doable on a 9.5
Ive done 225/40 on a 18x10 daily, it was a bit to much for my taste. Ive also done a 235/40, which i would not recommend, the sidewall makes it really hard to get low on this size. I think a 245/35 would be perfect for your setup if your not trying to go with a 255/35. That 35 sidewall will really help out with getting it low and yet still drivable without rubbing everywhere. Check out Joe's setup "Shagonwagon" Hes on 245/35 i believe. I wanna say his works are 9.5 wide though

Truthfully, I wouldn't do anything narrower than a 235 on a 10". Especially not with a 40 series profile. That's asking for some crazy.
Anyway, you've spent a lot of money on those wheels. I'd venture to say spending some serious coin on good solid tires with at least mildly proper fitment is probably the way to go.
I'm sure you know plenty of places, but Sleek Motoring in Mountain View mounted and unmounted my tires on my BBS RS reps (235/40-18 Yokohama s.Drives) and left them absolutely and insanely spotless. Not a single nick or speck of dirt even. They also mounted the same tires to my 18x8 RPF-1's. Again, same thing. Spotless.
Great shop.

I am currently running the Hankook Evo v12s (got them while I waited for the new Dunlop Z2s to come out) and they are perfectly fine. Decent grip, quiet, nice ride (295/30/18).
