Masood is a jackass, when z33 was buying his wrx we went to stevens creek to look @ WRX's, he totally didn't take him seriously cuz he wasn't "older"

He ended up buying from Livermore

to give my 2cents and make this into a carlsen rocks thread, when i bought my wrx last june, i talked to larry over the phone. i tried getting better prices and options from another dealership and he was the best. we verbally agreed on a price over the phone, and the total was 23.5 OTD. not only that, but i wasnt able to get the car until i got off work and drive out there from fremont, so he was nice enough to stay a bit later and wait for me to get there and take care of paperwork and answer any last minute questions i had about the car. now THATS customer service AND great pricing.

hard to beat a dealer that gives you A+ service in both categories. what good is one without the other?

Also, there is no reason to waste their time going in there to talk about it or try and see if things have changed because they can just go up the road to carlson or something and get treated right the first time
Well if we don't get the opportunity to perform any actions then all we have is words. The first step into doing something is to tell you that we are here for open dialog. Come and holler at me give me a chance before you start hating me. Let me earn your hate/respect. At least that way I've earned it.

I just realized Brian, you never mentioned exactly what you "manage" at Steven's Creek. Might you fill us in?

Brian, I appreciate you coming here and getting feedback. I actually purchased my 2002 WRX from your dealership, so I've had a first hand experience with the service there. From that experience, the only feedback I have is that the haggling, if you will, took way too long. The salesman budge a hundred dollar at a time, making it a very lenghty negotiation process. It seemed like he was trying to test my resolve and wear me down. In the end, I got the price I intended on getting, so he could have saved us a lot of time.

Other than that, I have nothing bad to say about Stevens Creek FROM EXPERIENCE.
Not the new guys they drop prices below invoice faster than you can blink an eye. Frustrating for me great for you.

when you are the owners son and you work for your dad you can call your self a "manager"

Doesn't every dealership now drop below "invoice" since the real invoice is below the "invoice" that customers are shown?

That was actually said to you? Wow. I'm speachless. Salespeople don't get paid unless they sell. Thats a sure way to not get paid.

I'm sorry that happened. When was this?

thank you. even Brian agree to the definition when I asked him that night.

Brian let me tell you and all the whole story.

My brother called and said he was at Stevens Creek. I told him to get the hell out of there b/c they will F you. He said that they are giving him a very good deal.... 23500 OTD. I asked him 23500 OTD? He said yes, I heard someone say yeah tell your brother 23500 OTD. I said Ok if that is the deal then go for it. He calls me back later and sounds all happy that he was driving a new WRX wagon. I asked him the terms and he told me 23500 OTD and 8% financing. I said what! are you stupid? 8%! He said you guys claim that he was a first time buyer blah blah blah.

I called my mom, she went down with mission of either reducing the interest or just pay it off cash. We would rather have him pay us 8% than you guys. You guys got it down to 4.7%, which was cool BUT THERE WAS NOTHING DIFFERENT ABOUT THE CONTRACT EXCEPT THE INTEREST. That means that you guys tried to screw him and could have easily offered 4.7% to begin with. My mom didn't have to co sign or anything.

After work, I get home and my mom is over for dinner. She shows me the contract and it shows the cost of the car is 25000 minus 1500 in rebates plus taxes+ title+ interest minus his down payment and trade in. which equals 23500. I got pissed off and called him and told him to leave work and meet me down at the dealership with you. What you guys did was saw a inexperience buyer and played with the numbers to make it look like 23500 was what he was paying.

When I met at the dealership I asked him what happened. he said the salesperson said 23500 OTD, the finance girl (Rose or Rosa or something like that) said 23500 OTD. I asked him do you know what OTD means, he said ah I think so... the final price and he points to the two locations of the 25000-1500 in rebates and 23500 financed amount. I looked at him and no stupid. at that point he realized that you guys misrepresentated the contract and screwed him.

When I met with you that night, I asked you point blank: what does OTD mean? you said OTD is what paid that includes taxes and everything. You said there is nothing you can do because it was almost 9 and the GM would take care of it.

The next morning we went there and the GM said basically sorry, your brother signed the contract and that was that but we can offer you free protective coating.

Let me explain to you the game that you played on the contract:
25000 - 1500 rebates: how he got screwed we were taxed on the 25000. where did the rebate come from? even if this was the 23500 that was agreed to it should have been 23500 not 25000, so he got taken for about $128 in taxes.

Second, the OTD price that was agreed to by the salesperson and finance manager happens to be the same as the financed amount and the car price. hmmm. what you guys did was calculated everything out and gave him the trade-in value to come that number. You guys saw a person that didn't know how to read the contract. Basically you guys played with numbers and took $2600.

Brain you say he got a good deal. Maybe, you and I know the kind of discount that are happening b/c of the model change and kickbacks. But the point of this was you guys did not do this deal on the up and up. There was a lot of things that make it very questionable from a business standpoint. You misrepresented the contract and knew exactly what you were doing.

How this whole thing ended, he is happy that he driving a WRX. But bummed that he got worked over by you guys. He is a nice person and chalked it up as life lesson... so I let it be and let him enjoy his new car. But every chance I get I remind him of he mistake and how sleezy you guys are.

I don't think being hard on your sales staff is going to rehabilitate Stevens Creek, I really don't. I think being very straight forward and honest might eventually.

I think the sales staff reflects the managment of the company. If the managment is less than friendly, then the sales staff is less than friendly. If the managment is professional and caring and honest, then the sales staff reflects this.

I think your dealership has really ruffled a lot of feathers. I don't think you can have a quick turn around unless you change managment - start over so to speak.

Consider hiring Zoeb as you new GM.

Good Luck.
